WBD announced on Wednesday that it has given a series order to the new show, which follows House of the Dragon as spinoffs from the main Game of Thrones series. The new show will be written and executive produced by George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker, with Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis also executive producing. The series is based on the Dunk & Egg novellas and is described as follows: A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros a young, nave but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg.
