I put on gel stick deodorant after a shower and the next day my armpits stink.

I put on no deodorant after a shower and the next day my armpits dont smell. Its like applying that deodorant made it worse and better without it

gels and non-aluminum ones suck, yeah. just stick with the ol' white sticks

i used mitchum gel for 20 years. had to stop because they changed the formula into something i was allergic to. worked great, though it was a little rough on my shirts.

Whatever you do, avoid arm and hammer ones. Old spice is decent.

Gel deodorants make my armpits skin burn and peel

Never had luck with gel, dry stick lasts for me much longer.

I used to use gel. Prefer the white sticks

Same here with stinking and burning armpits. By the end of the day it smells skunky. I guess something in it affects people's body chemistry differently.

Gel doesn't even have antiperspirant in it. I've only used the Degree white stuff for years now

I've used gel for years, and I've never had my pits stink because of it.

I tried out gel during puberty and I felt like it was either all rubbed out or sweated out before my school day was halfway done. Switched to the white powder sticks and haven't looked back since

Arm and Hammer was my go-to for awhile so I'm not sure why someone bashed it. It's noticeably cheaper than Old Spice and Dove Men Care. I never had any problems with it.

I've been using various Old Spices for a few months now.

The gel is just deodorant. The white stick is antiperspirant. You want the white stick unless you've got some kind of allergy.

Just get regular speed stick if you golf.

I switched from the old spice white stuff to the old spice blue stuff. The old spice blue stuff used to always leave burns under my arm like happens to a bunch of others. The white stuff would leave yellow stains in my shirts after a few washes so I stopped wearing that.

I'm not sure why the blue stuff doesn't burn any more or why the white stuff stained my shirts.

I switched to gel cause I was tired of the white sticks staining my shirts. If I put it on as soon as I get up by the time I'm putting on my shirt it's dry enough.

I prefer gel. Anti-perspirant doesn't last as long for me.

But for real, as a hairy hairy dude, I've struggled with all kinds of sticks and rollons that leave me feeling clumpy or slimy. Spray on works fantastic for me, as it always gets through to my skin unlike white sticks, but it's very comfortable unlike some gels.

Theres two kinds of gel deodorant, the more solid kind and the kind where the gel comes out of pores on the top of the deodorant stick

the more solid kind is the best deodorant and the pore kind is the worst deodorant

Unscented Mitchum gel is the most effective deodorant I've ever used.

Yeah I found that out the hard way as well

Old Spice is being sued for the burning it causes. They probably changed their formula to prevent the burning.

Yah I dont use old spice, I feel like it's the equivalent of axe but for men.

Old Spice Swagger, It's a blue stick deodorant. Use it and love it.

goopy gel deodorants not that bad as long you dont wear the stuff on a hot day.

Now, those little Avon stick bottles of deodorant back in the day of the early 1990s those were pretty crappy

IIRC, aluminum in the white sticks causes the stains. They make aluminum free stuff now.

I learned this the hard way, had to throw out an entire set of undershirts because they all had yellowy pit stains and had this weird smell to that area too. I was too lazy to do the whole home remedies of mixing baking soda and vinegar into the stains and trying to clean it so I just cut my losses and bought a new set of undershirts and new deodorant.

I dont use deodorant because Im not a sheep or a simp and with my unchecked pheromone production my sex life has increased ten fold

But at the same time, its the aluminum that has the anti-sweat component in the first place. Which causes the itchiness too.

I reek like a million sweaty onions after 6h of spray dehodorant but gel bars work great for me.

It does irritate my pits sometimes though.

Wondering if I should go for the no deodorant option and just continue scrubbing really hard with extra soap. I also trim my pits but maybe I should look into lasering options

Been a few days since no deodorant use... so far there's a mild odor if I take a big sniff, but not like it was before.

Been using gel deodorant most of my life. Stick was ruining my clothes and uncomfortable.

I'm allergic af to Old Spice. That shit broke out my underarms with blisters. Shit hurt so bad.

Literally only ever happened with Old Spice deodorants.

I use Every Man Jack deodorant and it's normally good for me. It's aluminum free and doesn't irritate my skin. Plus it comes in a lot of nice woodsy scents.

But when I get the anxiety sweats my arm pits smell like cat piss so I'll opt for any old aluminum based antiperspirant.
