I guess it's not surprising since this board is mostly male dominated but as a cisgender heterosexual woman that has sex with cisgender heterosexual men porn had rotted a lot of their brains into believing all women need to be fucking pounded as hard and fast as possible for it to feel nice.

I'm going to guess that women who watch a lot of porn probably have some pretty misguided opinions on what feels nice for guys too.

Guys expect huge knockers, girls expect huge dongs, and everyone expects positions and actions that are not only not sustainable, but not super pleasurable.

Oh, of course it has. There are reams upon reams of issues with porn and its role in society. Nobody with half a brain would deny that. Similarly, though, there's no reason to deny that porn can be consumed healthily, without being addicted or otherwise suffering harm. Like most things, the sensible position falls somewhere between those two extremes, which means you aren't likely to find it in an obvious troll topic.

That would be because OP isn't simply suggesting that porn is bad. She's suggesting that enjoying porn at all makes one an addict, painting exaggerated pictures of degenerates as being the only alternative to "I never watch porn." Hence, troll topic, which by their nature have a tendency to put people on the defensive.

"Net negative" is hard to measure, especially where so many of the negative aspects of it are a product of a social stigma against it (which any variant of "you're a bad person if you enjoy it" actually reinforces, instead of solving). There's no reason it can't be a healthy, beneficial industry, that just requires society to accept that potential in ways like talking about how porn can depict sex unrealistically (even harmfully) as part of sex ed, or not actively trying to destroy the employment of former porn actresses after spending their whole porn careers insisting that they should get real jobs. In the real world, unfortunately, society kind of sucks at not ruining it, but the solution to that is to discuss the harms candidly, not with thinly-veiled troll topics and non-specific shaming.

It's perfectly possible. It just requires the systematic indoctrination of the next couple generations of kids with sex ed that promotes consent, respect, and communication as crucial elements of any sexual relationship, helping them to recognize the ways in which porn so often fails to portray those things and ignoring crybaby parents who think pretending Timmy isn't just going to learn about sex from the Internet if they tell him nothing will actually have any sort of benefit. Old porn tropes are *specifically* shamed into obscurity (as opposed to vague cries of "porn is all bad!", which won't convince anyone because everybody can find some way of justifying their porn use, even if some others are bad), the market adjusts to appeal to the emerging trends, and a healthy industry is born.

Obviously, it's not that simple. But it's a cultural change everyone here can start to effect by calling out porn's specific failures, which is more productive than accusing people of being addicts.

I have always received compliments regarding my communication abilities surrounding sex. Porn is definitely part of the problem, but I think the root is just in how we raise boys. We do not raise them to be emotionally communicative.
