I never even met my biological father. Idc if he was a good person before he died. I love my step dad. I honestly don't give a f*** about my real dad or these people I don't even know. Never grew up with them. I feel bad about unfriending them. Honestly don't know why I accepted all these friend requests in the first place. I should get drunk one day and accept their call to tell them how I really feel. They are strangers to me, nothing more.

I am in the same boat. The last time I met father I was too young to even remember it. For years now family on my father's side who live on the other side of the country have tried to reach out to me (though not my father himself). I've essentially ignored them.

Just because they're strangers doesn't mean you gotta become hostile to them. Unless I'm missing something

My wife goes through this. She has a couple of half siblings that are always trying to get her to go to their family events. Her half brothers seem nice enough but her full blood relatives give her enough trouble. She's not really interested in adding more to that.

Yeah they keep inviting me over and to parties and things like that too. I'm really not interested.

My dads siblings kept trying to establish contact a few years after he died.

He banned them from his funeral, because theyre all horrible, toxic people. Most of whom tried for years to convince him I wasnt his son and my mum had been sleeping around, but there were other reasons too.

His sister tried to message me on Facebook a few times, then she found my wifes Facebook and was trying to message her. Then she got her husband to do it. the messages were all real manipulative bullshit, too.
