MegamanXfan21xx 06/28/23 12:14:09 PM #202:	Got Hardspace: Shipbreaker since it was on sale for $20. It's a fairly chill spaceship salvaging game, but there are hazards to avoid. Pulling in a big object too fast with your grapple gun can risk hitting you and damaging your suit, you have to make sure to disconnect fuel tanks before cutting any pipes or else risk blowing up valuable salvage and getting a mess to clean up, and you can get electrocuted if you rip out any big electronics before removing the ship's power cell. It's got some dark anti-corporate humor. You have to sign an agreement to, among other things, vote for a specific candidate in the next election. After completing the signup, they take your DNA on file so they can resurrect you if you die (at your expense, of course), and this immediately destroys your original body. You're immediately given a $1.2 billion debt to work off on signing up (including a $7.50 charge to display the debt) and any supplies you purchase adds to it (at least it means you can always buy something). An email you get says that any original artistic stuff you create while employed becomes company IP. There's a number of difficulty options for all tastes, but I decided to go for the easy one with no time limits (shifts are usually 15 minutes) and no oxygen drain unless your helmet breaks. Also, the game doesn't save your progress if you quit to the main menu in the middle of a job, which can be a godsend if you accidentally blow something up. However, it also commits the cardinal sin of video games: Unskippable cutscenes. On your home base, you'll sometimes get communications from your coworkers, and while they're talking, there's nothing productive you can do, even read emails or tinker with equipment. There was also another time where there was a cutscene followed by an email that a coworker talks over, and this was on a job I kept blowing something up on, so sitting through those again was my real punishment. Can't believe there are still studios that do this, especially ones with a decent budget like this one. Our male cat always nuzzled my hand like he hadn't been pet in weeks, purred loudly, happily hopped up in my lap for a nap, and looked at you with this look of "I love you. You mean the world to me!" The female cat expresses affection, too, but in a much more downplayed manner. She only lays in your lap nowadays if you have a blanket over it. Still, I'm giving her all the love I can. Back in the day, it was a frequent easy dinner choice, and they were really good subs. It's being replaced by another one called Luna Pizza. Looks like they offer more than the other place, even burgers. Wonder if they'll make one for RE4. It's way bigger than those two, but still has the same reward unlock conditions. Its hard modes are even harder to beat since there's some sections where you're forced to use different weapons that aren't as good as your normal guns. The mine cart section in particular was obnoxious, since you're forced to use the Red9, which is the least accurate handgun. Inari essentially doubles the amount of low-end pickups you get, including supplies (the central currency) and predator skins to make ammo capacity upgrades with. Okuninushi lets you regenerate health when not in combat, which can be a godsend for an inexperienced player. Both of these are found on the first part of the island after the intro. Also, the game would be a lot easier to enjoy if the 2020s hadn't been giving my mental health a beatdown. Last time I played, John and our male cat were still alive, and the virus was in a relatively early stage. Give it more depth and NG+ and you've got something great.
