Hosts tend to put in a highly recognizable character or two in the safelist
King does not lend himself to an obvious role in the context of mafia and most people aren't going to be super bummed if he's not in the game since he's not a major character just a side guy who is always there

To me he profiles perfectly as safelist fodder. Doubly so if he's Ctes's main because Ctes wouldn't want his main to just be a vanilla.

Uh, was I actually the first vote on Plum? I was positive I voted plum after someone else.

So Ulti rubbed himself all over Lea all Day yesterday even though he thought she was lying scum based on her Flavor claim and that is supposed to be equal to Hi Lea Im going to target you with a role that will get me mislynched on the spot when I claim it.

But since saying that outloud is a bad town play, apparently, he did the first thing instead. All the while he thought Lea was actually scum and his action which is pro-town? which he's going to use on Lea (who he htinks is scum) is going to also get him lynched the following day.

Do i have that right? Is that the convoluted story you'd like us to believe?

Personally I feel Ulti trying "to catch" Lea here is a hamfisted attempt to townclear Lea and Lea is bussing Kirby and if I were to gamble I'd pin the scumteam as

Ulti, Hb, Plum, Kirby, Lea

Personally Ulti could be doing this just to save Plum
I dont know why he'd switch from bussing one teammate to another

I don't think "one of the mains" and "my main" are mutually exclusive statements in any case speaking as someone who has played many fighting games seriously.

"My main" in Street Fighter IV was Vega
Ken, Dan, and Juri were "one of my mains"

"My main" in Guilty Gear XX was Ky Kiske
Testament, Dizzy, and Sol were "one of my mains"

"My main" in Smash Bros Melee was Kirby
Mewtwo and Marth were "one of my mains"

I can get behind this logic because I feel the same way when it comes to any multi-player game with a form of character select.

Literally makes no sense that the flavor for King would mention that Ctes has only one main, completely arbitrarily, especially if King isn't actually his main.

Now, Ulti pulling out bullshit fakeclaims as Town just to bait reactions isn't unprecedented... but this one is very inconsistent. Not sure why Ulti only brought this up now when Lea dropped that "I'm the host's main" thing ages ago. Ulti, you claimed King pretty darn early, so why are you only now suspecting Lea?

Abacus of few posts did still vote Ulti, so he comes out looking a little better if Ulti flips scum.

I agree with ulti feeling different this game. The only two times Ive played with him he was town cleared almost immediately for claiming bulletproof doctor and alluding to being dayvig, but it seems very possible hes scum. I suppose he could be a town role he doesnt want to draw attention to but I still think wed see a little more of recent town ultis happy swag in that case.

If I had to vote right now Im between Ulti and Ben.

Because now it comes across as he knows more about Ulti's mindset than he should have.
He took this back when Abacus pointed it out as well. And while he does use it to suspect Ulti overall, he left himself an out in that same post.

It's a viable tactic if the teammate about to get lynched has a really valuable role that needs to live past N1 or something, I suppose.
