I have a Corgi, at about 9 months old she started herding my chickens in the yard. Had no need for it, didnt teach it, she just decided to start herding one day. A lot of breeds have their "job" already programmed in their instincts.

This is like the first time I've seen a video of a pitbull in an Asian country. Like how nearly every Japanese dog owners have shibas. I thought pitbulls are American symbol dogs. I thought since they're so ugly, people from other countries wouldn't want pitbulls.

Who could possibly have seen this coming?

And Shibe is lucky it didn't latch onto a neck or throat area and caused serious damage (putting the dog down afterward), regardless the pitbull needs to be put down for sure.

Pit bulls aren't native to Japan and imports restrict "dangerous breeds" which pit bulls are part of. They're exceedingly rare in Japan.
That said, I think this is actually China which they also happen to be rare and restricted in (like a lot of countries).

There are many things that other countries have proper restrictions on but the U.S for some reason does not. Like guns, for instance. Perhaps those laws... work?

Honestly, at a dog event, someone should be educated on how to control a bite situation. No one there knew what to do and the people hitting the dog are lucky the pitbul didn't get them.

There should be required training on how to handle this type of situation, with best methods to detain a dog and how to get it to release.

Any responsible pit owner knows the proper way to release a bite. Which is not hitting a dog in the head lol dog is untrained, most likely abused, and shouldn't have been out at this event.

Pits are great dogs. I'm chilling with mine right now sitting at my feet waiting for a command. Owners are the problem not the breed

its a dog. You dont punish it. You train it and if the dog doesnt improve you avoid those situations. The dog is doing what dogs do and your job as an owner is to train it and socialize it well enough that these things dont happen. If your dog is dog aggressive you dont go to those situations

If you're asking genuinely, and this will work 100% of the time, quickly yank their tail in the air, lift them off the ground and fuck up their spacial orientation. If they don't have a tail do the same but with their hind legs. The dog will release the bite every time.

The only dogs that won't do this is if they have very specific bite training (like police dogs) and if that's the case then you're fucked.
