Introducing the SSA451, sporting a deep, deep, deep green dial complimented by an arguably too modest leather strap, which at times looks and feels more like cheap beef jerky than it does leather. This is my first dip into Seiko's Presage line and I have to say I absolutely love it. The incredibly deep green is nice to catch in the light when you're able to just sit down and relax from time to time in the sun, and the off-white, almost cream sub-dial at first I thought would clash, but helps draw the eye in and enjoy all the other details once you're looking.

I wasn't kidding about that dial either, I'm sure with a better phone I'd be able to capture the green better but I assure you my old-ass phone did its best, plus today has been overcast and gloomy all day so that didn't help either.

This is now the fourth Seiko in about half a year. No, I don't have a problem, I-I can stop whenever I want.

No, that dude is wearing more than what I paid for my car on his wrist. Most expensive one here is that orange one, though mostly thanks to finding that Presage on sale.

Thank you. They have their place, but I'd put them on a watch I'd actually dive with, and no way in hell would I put a damn Patek Phillippe even if it could handle the water pressures. I don't need to flex on the fish that bad.

They're just nice man, I dunno. I really like the idea of all these tiny intricate parts working together.

Also I caved and bought a nice metal band for it. The leather just ain't doing it for me.

This one goes for 625 if you go directly through Seiko, I picked mine up for 430 at a local jewelry shop through a sale they're having.
Actually no, that was a Morgan Jewelers quote from last week, I paid 390 for this one.

I'll never understand people that see a topic that clearly isn't aimed at their interests, click on the topic, groan as they adjust in their gamer chair and type these throwaway lines out. Is it a superiority thing with you? Some folks here like watches. It's fun to talk about them with others that like them too.

I've wanted a Presage. The SARX 073, and on a black leather strap, but I could just never come to it.
I think what kinda turned me more away from it was that I was gravitating towards my G-Shock for practicality. On easier days I just run a Nodus Avalon II, which I can't fault.

I definitely lust for having different styles, but that's such a deep rabbit hole I can't go into unless I stop with sneakers.

I want to get into nice watches

But I wear a waterproof Fitbit so I know to stop having shower thoughts and go clock in for work lol

I love the dial color and textures it has, but I need to cool it on the watch collecting for right now, heh.
