Just got done with the cabin sequence.

The game's actually a bit harder than I remember but I think that's because the last time I played RE4 was the VR version and it's so much easier to aim in that version.

I'm doing it with the enemy + item randomizer, it's intresting but too easy so far, there's so many treasures in the game every odd pickup is one and it's not as enjoyable as it should be.

Lol, I love how Ashley just stands there pointing at the boulder over the cliff like an idiot, completely oblivious of the el gigante that's RIGHT behind her.

Now I know the red9 is really popular, and it's a nice gun and all, but with the stock it just takes up so much space... I think I prefer the blacktail.

The appeal of Red 9+stock is that it basically obviates rifles once you get comfortable aiming it long-distance. Even though it takes up much more space than any other handgun, it takes up less space than a handgun plus a rifle, making it overall better. If you're not a fan of playing like that, though, sticking with a different handgun will be more enjoyable.

Not to mention it basically becomes a mini magnum when fully upgraded

Which is especially nice for an item hoarder like me who never used magnum ammo just in case I really needed it later. Gotta love rare consumable items.

The blacktail feels just as stable to me as the red9+stock but the red9 does have much more firepower when maxed out...

I think I could comfortably forgo a rifle if I was playing the VR version or the Wii version since precision aiming would be easier but I'm playing the OG Gamecube version for... some reason.

Did you play the Demo? It was fun, but not sure about the Knife break mechanic...
