I mainly drink it for the caf buzz, though I don't consume sugar variants. Usually I go through a 12 pack in a week though - then don't buy it for the rest of the month.

i will never understand people being addicted to soda. like i know people who say "water is gross" (which is crazy enough on its own) and refuse to drink anything but that shit, and even when they aren't fat they always inevitably have fucked up teeth

i quit soda and exclusively drink original polar seltzer now lol. gets you the fizzy carbonation sensation which for me is like 80% of the experience, and is literally just carbonated water with no additives so its healthy. if it goes flat, now you just have canned water. eat your heart out Liquid Death

That's sort of what happened to me. Quit drinking sodas for the most part 3 years ago, but still had times where I'd grab 1 soda after a month or 1 of not drinking any. Eventually I permanently quit drinking them since every one of those few times the soda tasted disgusting and far from what I had remembered them tasting like.

So true. I used to drink it a LOT back in the day. These days I barely touch the stuff. Ill keep maybe like the little cans of Coke on hand for those rare times I absolutely need a bit of caffeine or Ill have a glass bottle of root beer with pizza every once in a while.

It's highly dependent on the person, tbh. I know some people who are hopelessly addicted to soda and others who have hated it since birth.

For me, if I ever drink a rare soda, it's diet. I'm one of the crazy ones who prefers the taste (except diet pepsi is trash) but I do love carbonation. So I just keep club soda around.

I do somewhat agree with you TC, but it is not easy. I managed to cut down to 2 sodas a week. Took like 6 months to cut down to 1 soda a week. Going to say a year later I am now down to 1 or 2 sodas a month. Will I be able to cut them out completely?

My tastes have definitely changed though. I dont seem to like Coca Cola anymore. When I do crave a soda its usually Seven Up.

The only sodas that I can still drink are Sprite and Ginger Ale. Those brown sodas are not the same to me after quitting drinking them. Root beer is good, but it has WAY too much sugar for me to justify drinking it.

Root beer is not a common drink where I live, but I am grateful, because I remember it being super delicious, and not seeing it on sale makes it easy to refrain.

I'm not fat anymore but I still don't drink soda because even a little bit makes me feel like shit. Honestly though the rare times I'll have a drink coke still tastes amazing honestly
