It feels so recent. Hell, I even remember the early topics full of Chinese hospital footage and construction vehicles speedrunning buildings. And I'm pretty sure that was before the lockdown anyway.

I got one week of paid time off in April 2020 because I had a slight fever and that one week of just doing nothing single handedly made me fucking loathe working in an office

Finally got a work from home job in 2021 and god damn how did society spend so much time driving an hour a day to go to work

And now certain theories about where it originated have become mainstream when it was taboo to suggest it then.

I remember the pelicans were playing on the West Coast, I think in Sacramento scheduled for 9 PM start. So I took a shower, make sure the kids were settled in, then went get in bed. Then as I put the game on, the announcers were saying the players were not coming out because the referee refereed a game that featured a covid positive player. Minutes after that the NBA said it was shutting down

i think the problem was when people talked about it being a chinese lab, they often suggested it being intentional

So lucky lol I wish I could find a work from home job that Im capable of doing that ALSO pays well enough. I get angry when I realize how much of my life is wasted driving. And my commute isnt even that bad (it was horrible a few years ago though).

I worked all the way through it even with restrictions getting tighter and tighter. I was lucky to keep getting paid while others were really struggling.

Same. I thought it was just the yearly health crisis we always hear about on the news but never really became a problem. Then people started clearing out the meat case every store I worked at. It's funny that in two years of COVID I never got it from working with the public. It took my kid bringing it home from school for me to get it. I was vaccinated too
