MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A father was charged with child endangerment after at least five of his pit bulls attacked his child, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

A child was rushed to the hospital after the attack just before 5 p.m. Monday on Barton Street, off East Essex Avenue, in South Memphis, police said.

The victim was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Neighbors told FOX13 a bystander was responsible for saving that childs life.

Paul McCorkle, a witness, said he heard screaming and ran over to find a child being attacked by dogs in a field near his home.

Bite marks all over the babys head, the face, the body. They had to put a trache (tube) in his throat so he could breathe, he said. They grabbed the baby and they were trying to bite him. They were biting him. If it wasnt for the good person who was in the car, they probably would have eaten him.

To be fair, there was a story a few weeks ago about 2 Rottweilers mauling a newborn to death and no one on this board cared. A Good Boy posted a topic about it. A full day passed and it didnt get a single response. Not from Mew or anyone else.
