I've grown to prefer Superman as an adult just because wholesome people are just so rare in real life. It's just refreshing and heartwarming to see someone as good natured as Clark. --- You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. -Misattributed to CS Lewis ... As a kid, I was one of those "Superman is boring!" people. As I got older, I grew to respect him. Everything he represents, a hero who genuinely is doing good just to do good and is a good person is just so rare these days. Batman still cooler tho. --- http://i.imgur.com/vDci4hD.gif ... FortuneCookie posted... This is the real issue. But that's the whole reason why they work. They're polar opposites. Superman's an alien superhuman from another planet who had a humble upbringing and is totally wholesome and selfless. Lex is a regular guy who could probably do more to help mankind than Superman ever could, but instead he's a selfish, greedy asshole. --- I have nothing else to say ... Copied to Clipboard!

Maybe you are right in that Superman is better than Batman. Superman had Lex Luthor as a foe and has survived until today. Batman would have undoubtedly faced cancellation if he had stuck with Dr. Hugo Strange as his primary antagonist. A good hero deserves a villain who is their equal or near equal; a complimentary foe. Lex Luthor is a liability, not an asset. ... Copied to Clipboard!
