Why even watch nature documentaries if you want to ignore the reality of the situation these animals are in?
Because it's cheaper than going to the zoo, and a hell of a lot cheaper than a safari.

When he's narrating nature shit, yes. I just want the play by play of whatever animals are doing whatever stuff with his awesome voice. I don't want to hear the same preach we get from every other activist, he can go on the news for that.

the episode that will be censored is specifically about the deterioration of natural habitats, how that has affected nature, and what causes have contributed to that:

A sixth episode has also been filmed, which is understood to be a stark look at the losses of nature in the UK and what has caused the declines. It is also understood to include some examples of rewilding, a concept that has been controversial in some rightwing circles.

so this is not an instance of David injecting "activism" into a nature documentary. it is precisely the focus of that episode.

Looks like the Guardian got the wrong end of the stick. The episode isn't part of Attenborough's series - it was an episode by another company that the BBC bought to air on iplayer at the same time. This 'missing' episode was never meant to be on TV at all.

There is no conspiracy here.

Well that's not so bad.

Woulda been baffling for them to suddenly stop showing the harm of climate change after doing so for decades.

Fuck their feelings. That is the mantra they believe in, right? (But of course, they wouldn't be right-wingers if they were not massive hypocrites.)

Seems basically every sports presenter is refusing to show up over the BBC effectively firing Lineker with many football players reportedly refusing to answer BBC questions.

Be kinda hilarious if this is what removes the corruption in the BBC

And yet you were here defending the idea of censoring nature documentaries because talking about climate change triggers your delicate sensibilities.

All we need to do is have the CIA start a cocaine epidemic in black bear communities so we end up with a whole generation of cocaine bears.

That should put a stop to people eating bear meat.
