Before I start off..first thing first. No one should be insulted or belittled for their size. Second, I am fat. Not chubby, not husky, not big boned but fat.

The idea of fat acceptance bothers me so much. Should we be okay with it. And what really raised the alarm for me is this idea about being healthy at any size. Yes, some people can be healthy and still be overweight. However, for most people size is a clear indicator of many health-related outcomes. And to play like it not, is harmful.

I stupidly had this mindset when I was younger. I oh I can still lift I can still funny a half marathon without training by fatness doesn't matter. But believe me those chickens comes home to roost. And then I make some chick and noodles out of them. (didn't want to end of sad note).

People need to justify their insecurities.

It's not always the person's fault, mind you. Most people can't really afford to eat healthier foods. And Hollywood constantly sells people ideas of how good looking people should be vs their reality.

I disagree with that when it comes to black women/girl. So many times, you have this overweight black female character. And people normalized that stuff. Like Lizzo, she is not at a healthy size and people will swear up and down she is in perfect heath because she can play the flute.

Yup. No buts about it. And youre fatphobic if you bring health into it. Granted its not always linked to health issues, but according to "medical literature" around 80% of times it is related. Just having diabetes and high blood pressure because of it opens the floodgates to chronic illnesses down the road.

Hence why you raarely see old fat people. Their cut off seems to be before the 70s. Trump seems to be one exception to the rule, but then again hes rich.

Also im skinny and most of my healthmarkers used to be in bad shape, so being thin also doesn't translate to health. Gotta do your part by living a balanced lifestyle. Eat well, exercise, sleep enough and try to be as stress free as you can.

Yes, being fat has become normalized in the West. Its dangerous and I hope it stops.

Btw, when people say its expensive to eat healthy, thats like a half truth. Yeah, some choices are costly, but chicken is generally inexpensive and beans are too. You can cook those a bunch of different ways. Besides that, you could always limit the amount of food that you eat. I encourage people to fast or at least limit snacks and drinks, but its like Ive switched to a different language and they have no clue what Im talking about.
