I beat Thardus and got the beam missile upgrade. How many missile expansions should I have right now? Im at like 75 missiles.

I think I had closer to 100 for that fight, I dont remember for sure though. There's a few you can get in chozo ruins with the spider ball now, and there were a couple in the pirate research lab if you didn't grab those

You're probably doing well as far as collecting goes. There aren't many instances in the game where you're going to use more than like 20 missiles between being able to refill them. So it's never an issue unless you're trying to get 75% of the items (for a particular ending) or 100% (for an even better ending).

75 is exactly what I had on my recent "haven't played this in years, only mostly remember where things are" playthrough at that point.

If you had much more than that I would say you're being very thorough.

75 is what I had and I know most locations by heart.

There's more you can technically get by that point but you're backtracking out of your way needlessly for those.

Yeah you're doing good. My walkthrough has 80 at that point and I don't make points of going well out of your way every time you get a new item to scrounge the entire planet, just getting stuff largely on the way.
