Over four years ago, I was told here that CE kind of is the GFAQs general board nowadays, for the older people like us, the youth being different than we were as they tend to hang out on social medias more than on message boards. Which I effectively observe everyday as I've been working with teenagers for nearly 20 years now.

So I'm 35 and once in a while I log on GFAQs, usually to quickly go on the message board of the game I'm then playing and then I make a quick stop on CE. I guess I'm not the only one, as the board looks alive. Will it is still be in the case over the next decades, with us stoping by here and then when we'll be 40, 50, 60, 70, for good old time's sake ?

I started in 2000. I don't think GF is 25 years old yet?

But for this we need people remaining on the board, I guess. I only log on once in a while, so with people like me it won't make it.

I dunno, man. It feels odd to imagine that in 30 years I could look back on gamefaqs as a thing I hadn't been to in 2 decades, but it's gotta happen sometime.

There's plenty of us that visit here daily still. Though with the recent acquisition by Fandom it is possible this board will be dead within 10 years.

I doubt I'll live to be that old, but as long as Gamefaqs still exists, I'll probably be here.

My interest in video games has only been growing as I get older. I game more in my 30s than during any other point in my life.

Hope this doesn't turn into a imdb situation. I barely used those forums but ah yah.

Also other just life thoughts. I'm still here, here now.

I've got 20 years until 50. A lot can happen in 20 years. The internet could be completely different or there could be no internet because we're all sun-bleached bones, ya know, so who can say?

Well close enough to it. I think I started coming on here in 2000 or 2001 too. I was 13 at the time. So it's been very close to 25 years, if I'm 35 now.

I hope so since I'll be 50 in a few months.

This board would be dead by the time I'm 50. But some people here just can't let this board go.

I sure as hell don't want to live that long

I see one of two problems

Much younger generation comes and less of us are around to balance it out

Current ans old generation become the only user base, slowly getting smaller

Sad things to think about.

Many things I liked about coming on GFAQs. Having the feeling of belonging to a community, even if it was virtual. But, the biggest thing I gained coming here was typing (attaining various skills on the way). And in a language that isn't my first one.

When I talk with my teenagers, they don't have that. They write a comment once in a while here and there on social medias but nothing like we had here.

I'm not active enough. Couple of times a year, I log on a few days straight then I'm off couple of weeks/months before coming back for a few days. Work doesn't help either.

To think there was a time, a long long time ago (when I was a teenager), I'd log on 30 times a day.

Some will, other might not live that long
