Ukraine has called on Sony, Microsoft and Valve to ban the sale of Atomic Heart

Apparently the developer appears to have ties to the state-owned energy corporation Gazprom and also hasnt publicly denounced the invasion of Ukraine.

2023 is the year of people debating the ethical consumption over video games it seems.

I'll say this: if you have a Twitter, Facebook, Tiktok, Google account, then you are encouraging corporations cooperating with dictatorships using those platforms against their own citizens.

If you've ever bought a smartphone or any computer, then you are encouraging corporations using literal slavery to get the materials and ressources necessary to make microchips.

If you are driving a Volkswagen then you are in a brand that originates from the minds of actual Nazis.

Or more simply, check the tag of the clothes you are wearing. If it says Made in Bangladesh, Made in Haiti, Made in India or any other third-world country, then chances are, you are wearing clothes made by people working in abject, inhuman conditions.

As a liberal, I am tired sick of the fake concern. It's virtue signaling at its worse. If you want to boycott something, then do it and stop projecting it into social media to pretend to have a virtue you haven't earned. You cannot pretend to care about Ukraine while glossing over the fact the US is still bombing the middle-east on the regular, and has still sanctions in Latin America that has been crippling those countries for decades.

Also watched like three hours of gameplay, looks like a modern bioshock and the combat and gameplay looked pretty damn cool imo.

I do kinda want to know who owns it and what the exact workings of that are.

It's okay. Apparently the characters have fully modelled genitalia. The Rule 34 people datamined to turn all the characters into smut, but it ended up already being done for them.
