When you lose control of your dog you lose control of the outcome.

Could there be more to the story that we aren't seeing or can you really just shoot a dog that gets in your front yard

on topic, it's an over-reaction to a dog in the yard. neighbor shouldn't of shot it.

the shooter should have stopped, and let the owner come get his dog off the yard. The kill was unnecessary. At the point where he is shooting but missing, and the owner is there yelling, that was the point they could have stopped before it went too far. The owner was there, so he could have gotten dog. It would be different if the owner wasn't there maybe. But a solution existed in reach. The shooter just wanted to kill the dog anyway and take advantage of the law

Sounds like there is more to this story. Maybe the owner couldn't keep his dog in their yard or was aggressive towards the neighbors. We don't know until we hear from the neighbors. Can't always believe the dog owners with their "My NaNnY dOg WoUlDn'T hArM a FlY!" types.

The article doesn't say it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the dog gets out a lot and comes into people's yards. Probably being aggressive to neighbors.

I find it weird too that the neighbor just happened to be around when the dog was caught in the yard. Makes it seem like they didn't think it was a big deal or didn't care.

I'm projecting a lot, but I've lived around a lot of shitty dog owners. Their big ass aggressive dogs were constantly getting in our yard and giving kids a hard time.

I don't know if shooting the dog is the right move, but some people need their dogs taken away from them.

Plenty of people on this board would because their hate for this particular breed is illogical. They recently got banned, but gunplagirl and poundgarden and their supporters. Those two in particular because they openly supported the mass killings of peoples pets

I'm gonna agree that something here isn't adding up. He glosses over the fine he got in a way to go "oh and they punished me for being a victim!" but generally, a fine has a broken law/ordinance behind it.

Also, him putting that sign up in the second pic is a good way to end up getting sued for harassment.

This person sounds like an idiot. Don't leave dogs, especially pitbulls, unleashed. It doesn't matter how friendly you think they are to you. They're fucking animals and unpredictable.

Its a pitbull, imo it is justified esp if the neighbor had children. Ive read too many articles about this breed to trust it around my kids. Even family dogs go bad. I recently read about a mom who was in a coma because she tried to get her pitbulls to stop dismembering her 2 and 5 year old. Fuck that and fuck pitbulls.

There is a lot going on here. First and foremost if everything thing is as it says on the page. He shouldn't have shot him. No way just walk in the house and call for help. I did with a pitbull that was in yard. I even made sure he was going to be taken to a no kill shelter .

However on the other hand we have seen cases on this very board of Pitbulls coming right for people. If that was the case I can see shooting it. So both sides would have to talk about . And the court clearing the shooter does not mean he was in the right morally.
