azuarc 02/18/23 8:20:26 PM #1:	After three years of begging me to participate in her group's annual speedrun marathon and me declining because I didn't know any game well enough to feel comfortable putting it on display, my friend @MargaretAnnMid finally persuaded me to perform a co-op run with her this time around. Game: The Adventure Pals Category: Co-op NMG Channel: https://www.twitch.tv/therpgvalkyries The RPG Valkyries are a group of women and non-binary gamers, and their annual event, SpeedRun Ragnarok, starts earlier in the day tomorrow. Their "cat block" culminates with our run at 5 PM. Estimate is 3 hours. Notably, we have an incentive for a cat cam where I will attempt to spotlight one of my two cats on webcam, as well as a couple game-related incentives. Proceeds go to Take This, a mental health organization. The Adventure Pals is a level-based platformer with a quirky sense of humor. NGL, I'm a little nervous. Not only do I not feel like a true expert in the game (though I have finished it 5-10 times for the occasion,) but I'm someone who needs to think about what I'm saying before I say it or I have a high tendency to have something really dumb come out of my mouth, and I really don't want that to be on camera while I'm multitasking with a game. Also, I'm honestly not sure I've got all my equipment set-up. So here's to hoping everything goes okay. At the very least, the only team to ever post their time to speedrun.com has a very high time, so worst case scenario we're basically guaranteed to set a world record! I'm gonna stream tonight -- not the game I'm running. Starting with my Genshin dailies before switching over to a LTTP randomizer race at 9. Also, uh, azu meant it's starting at 7:15pm tomorrow, not 5pm (that was my fault, I have another run around 5 and my brain has been leaking out my ears planning this event for the last few months).
