if you like Harry Potter its a no brainier. One hundred percent you should get it. If you dont like the ip then its a maybe. The actual game itself is ok. The story is good but does drag in a few places. The open world is horrible. Bland and uninspired.

That said Hogwarts and the area immediately around it are absolutely stunning. You can tell there was passion there. The castle is incredibly detailed and has so many references and call backs to the books its amazing. So like I said if you liked the books youll love exploring the castle. Its breathtaking. Otherwise its a Ubisoft game with a better than average story and a randomly incredibly detailed castle in the middle.

Its a genuinely good game, even more so if youre a big fan of HP since there are so many tiny details theyve put into the world so you can tell it was actually made by a passionate team that respected the source material and not some cheap cash grab.

Try to get it used so you dont support JKR if you care about that.

I haven't played it, but the prevailing opinion is that if you like Harry Potter, you'll love the game. It's got lots of fan service and captures the essence of the world very well, according to the people I've watched streams/YouTube videos from.

So yes, I'd say buy it if you're interested in it.

The gameplay is pretty basic, and the open world isn't filled with much to do. The story is interesting, but there are some contradictions with the established lore.

I have only seen the first HP movie and I am enjoying it. Not worth the $70 price tag, I have it almost beat. Lots of glitches and bugs, but nothing major. If you like open world games where you can collect a bunch of stuff then you will enjoy it. The story is meh, dialogue goes on much longer than needed. The map is pretty small for an open world game in this gen, but even with all that said I think it is still a decent game. It is not difficult in any shape or form, the puzzles are really simple. If you are looking for a casual open world game then get it. I have been having a lot of fun with it. I would wait until it goes on sale though.
