Non-american that doesn't give two shits about football here, but I used to look forward to them because there used to be pretty big announcements for video games/movies. Unless I'm misremembering another big american yearly event.

this one was lame but we've had a really good run this last decade or so. Katy Perry, Bruno Mars (twice), Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and last year's hip-hop bonanza were all solid to great. the only other one I can think of that was lame was the maroon 5 and Travis Scott one. and really this one wasn't that bad compared to the 2000s (outside of the legendary Prince halftime show, good luck beating that).
