My little brother died this Sunday, and my mom gave me his Switch and games he bought 3-4 weeks ago. I already have a Switch and some of the games, but I can't bring myself to just sell them. What should I do with it?

I'm so sorry for your loss TC, I hope your brother rests in piece.

If you feel bad selling it, you could always just keep it as a momento, or give it to someone less fortunate money wise if you don't want to keep it, but also don't want to sell it. I'd suggest maybe keeping the SD card or otherwise keeping the saves to remember your brother by if you do end up doing something with it in the future.

Just remember no matter what, it's your decision on what to do with it and you can take your time to make any decision with it that you want, whether you keep it or not.

Again, I'm sorry your loss.

Just keep them. If there is no urgency to sell them and you don't need money. Maybe one day yours will break and you'll have another ready. Or, you can meet a little kid that can't afford one.

My condolences OP

I'm sorry for your loss.

You should hold onto them. If you don't want two sets of the same games, you could sell the ones that were yours and keep the ones that were his.

My condolences for your loss.

I cant say I blame you for not wanting to sell the games and console, and this may come across as a flippant question, but, if you already have the games and Switch he had, why keep them as depreciating paperweights? Maybe its just the declutterer in me as a child of a hoarding parent but I would personally sell what I didnt want or already had.

If he saved up and bought it himself, have you thought of having it placed in his coffin?

The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.

Box it up and think on it in a few months. Lost my brother, this is what I did, helped to give myself time to get a clear head about things. You dont want to regret getting rid of anything later on.

Is this reverse psychology? And if I ask, will you lie to me?

I'm sorry, TC.

but yea, either buying them with him, if that's an option, or just keeping them as a keepsake sound good. like, they don't have to be a part of a shrine, but somewhere you can look at every so often, if it's not too painful.
