I usually love goth, both as a setting and design, so I can look past Adol's new rattail and most of the characters' rat tail hairstyles this time around.

I like the new mysterious character, I love that whole raven theme with green it looks so good. She might not be as good as Dana was in Ys 8 but we'll see.

You know what it is I realized about these Ys games, I love how they're still just games. While AAA gaming is all about ridiculously pointless things like photorealistic graphics and huge setpieces, a game like this focuses on delivering a fun game with a ton of quality of life enhancements missing from AAA gaming. I appreciate Ys for that. Also the music

Ys 9 is pretty good, the only problem was it felt a little worse than Ys 8. Both are still great though.

It's great. Worst part is the graphics and performance, and the environments are bland. Kinda easy too. But otherwise great
