For me it's a toss up between "return the slab" man and that floating head thing :<

None of them really scared me, but the most haunting one was Doc Gerbil. For some reason they went super hard on the ending for it. The music and mood of it still sticks with me.

Return the slab I thought was funny because Eustice kept pushing the envelope and finally got what he deserved that made me really like the episode as a kid.

It was the barber episode and his smile every time he said "naughty" that creeped me out the most.

Freaky Fred.

The whole thing is such a beautiful experience. A poem about a serial "shavers" decent into madness.

Just the way he is so calm about what he did is unnerving.

He started out by "shaving" his pet. This was his jumping off point.

He then got close to and learned all the habits of a girl who he "shaved".

When that wasnt enough, he waited until a lone stranger came into his shop. He couldnt help himself and decided to "shave" him too.

He slipped up and got a new job in a rubber room down at the puzzle factory until he escaped. Then he decided to start all over again with Courage. But he wasnt quick about it. He was locked in a room with him and took his sweet time. Shaving him systematically and telling him his story. Like it was as natural as breathing.

It feels like the real progression of a serial killer IRL that starts with animals, moves onto someone they know and are comfortable with, and then move onto strangers. They get bolder and bolder until they get caught. They start out quick and dirty, but when they get settled in they go to the extreme.

I can concur. That episode was way more creepy than Ramses to me. I think Ramses weird CGI animation or whatever that was is what people gravitate to but take that away, his character arc and the episode progression wasn't really that scary imo.

Kinda this, but I found it more tragic than haunting.

Like, in the end nobody died or anything, but it's just so... weird. The tone came out of nowhere lol
