More games need customizable difficulty. Or just play on normal the way a game was meant to be played.

PS3 version of KH1 did this. Was gonna grind it for plat but after finishing it on proud and not unlocking the lower tier trophies I uninstalled lol

The Kingdom Hearts 1.5 collection on PS3 was like that. They changed it for the PS4 version.

Ive been running through dishonored and the dlc cleaning up achievements and its so great none are tied to difficulty. Screw games that force it.

I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with games having achievements for clearing the more difficult modes.

No, that's what YOU want.

If the game added X amount of difficulties, the game is meant to be played whatever difficulty the player wants.

What difficulty YOU want and think is fun for everyone to play is irrelevant to the fact the devs clearly wanted the player to be able to choose to enjoy the game.

Games are developed for the default difficulty and they adjust stats later to add difficultys. You're free to play however you want but games are designed for normal difficulty.

I doubt that's always true and I don't see on what grounds you conclude it other than "normal mode" sounds like it should be the standard.

If that's what you need to tell yourself.

It literally does not matter what default settings a dev places. If the devs add additional setting on top of the default, the devs added those features so that the player can play how the player wants. The devs meant to allow the player to choose.

You and your elite feelings literally don't matter. The game is literally meant to be played on optional settings the player chooses based on settings the devs intentionally added to the game. Regardless if a player chooses a setting you don't like.

The only way you can play the game how it wasn't meant to be played is by exploiting bugs and hacks the devs did not intentionally install in the game and approve of.

If higher difficulties only increase damage enemies take and deal then its stupid.

If higher difficulties add more or different enemies then im down.

Some games have normal mode for people who aren't hardcore gamers. It hardly stands for "intended difficulty." A lot of games have higher difficulty modes that are carefully crafted and balanced. Are they then not intended because they aren't called "Normal"? Just doesn't make any sense from a baseline logic standpoint. You can't even see the dev's intent a lot of times anyways
