The show is so goddamn good. If you haven't watched it yet you should do it. It will ALMOST make up for the shitty last two seasons of Game of Thrones. No matter what, no show can make up those two horrific seasons but HOTD does the absolute best to make you guys ALMOST forget that crap which is a lot better than people can hope for.

I watched the first episode and then it was football season... Plan on watching after the Super Bowl. The first episode was great, though.

I much preferred young Rhaenyra. The older one had basically one facial expression.

it was okay, there were some great moments in it, but there were a lot of really bizarre moments where really stupid shit happened just for the purpose of spectacle. it's like the showrunners were like "yeah, remember the Red Wedding? and how it made everyone go insane? we need to have a moment like that every episode." and so they did, they shoehorned a brutal spectacle event into basically every episode, even when what that event actually was didn't make any sense whatsoever.

all in all, i would put it at the same level quality of about season 4-5 of GoT. which, like i said above, had their great moments, but just a lot of stupid shit too.

Is there some heavy retconning happening? Game of Thrones season 8 was the only one that got shit on, and it was still kinda liked by a lot of people.
