Only two games were actually hard. This one, and the last one.

Easy picks for the other 4, and I suspect most took the Chargers.

The Chargers are a cursed franchise with moronic ownership. Remember, they interviewed Brian Daboll and thought this goof was a better idea.

This is when you fire your coach ASAP and give Sean Payton 25-30 million a year. Because if you don't, someone else will. The Waltons are floating out giving Harbaugh 20+.

Those numbers aren't close to stupid. Coaches are overdue for a market reset.

Yeah, it's pretty common to play your starters for a quarter or a half, like Tampa Bay did.

Can't have them playing deep into the second half though.

I feel like tomorrow we get two uninteresting blow outs and then one game where Minnesota wins an unreasonably close game even though it never feels like they'll be in danger of losing.

Because this is exactly what we'll get. I didn't watch a play of Seattle/SF and I strongly doubt I'll watch one of Miami/Buffalo and Baltimore/Cinci.

I have zero sense for the Monday game though. Dallas could play virtually flawlessly and win by 30 or totally crap the bed and somehow lose by only 3.

You missed absolutely nothing! Other than Seattle keeping it close for a half before SF decided they'd actually start trying.

For those who understand the lingo, there are really no better words than this. But I want to put words to some of the smaller things that made all that happen, because as much as firing Staley is easy and clear and I don't even necessarily disagree, absolutely no one on the Chargers comes out clean:

1) Bosa loses temper and is ejected (regardless of if penalties were warranted)
2) Derwin James burned on the Zay Jones touchdown
3) Asante Samuel Jr. gives up the edge on 4th and 1 for the game winning FG
4) Van Noy (in for Bosa?) drops game-sealing INT on game winning FG drive
5) defense in general gives up 2nd half opening drive TD and a 4th quarter TD drive that involved DPI on a 2nd & 19, a Staley failed challenge, and the first Bosa penalty that led to the 2PC
6) offense cannot keep the ball for time of possession
7) kicker missed a FG

Nothing sad about it for this Jags fan

Fair enough, but if you believe in momentum, that would've gone a long way, inspired the defense for the final stand, etc.

Chargers desperately need Dallas not to fire McCarthy now because all indications are that Payton's first choice is the Cowboys

I believe JerryWorl is on record saying McCarthy is safe this season. So, unless Tampa turns Dallas into TCU, Fat Mike isn't leaving at the end of this season unless he does so through a non-Jerry related retirement.

Also thinking about the MNF game in 2012 when they were up 24-0 at halftime against Peyton's Broncos.

When it was 27-0 last night, I texted my friend that the Jags needed to score before half and force two turnovers to win. SHOCKED they won with a -5 turnover margin. I've been a Jags fan since '95, and they've always been a ground-and-pound team (when they were good). Seeing three 17+ point comebacks in a single season is mind-blowing. I love having a passing game. Can't wait to see if Calvin Ridley pans out next year.
