The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady - Speaking of old I felt myself aging by the time I finished this fucking title. This sounds like a yuri isekai so it at least has some value in existing in an otherwise massively overrepresented isekai genre now.

Adventurers Who Dont Believe In Humanity Will Save The World - When I first saw the article I was hoping this would be good and as a man of culture red hair girl with horns is the best looking girl this season so far based on these charts.

Im Now Your Sister - On the plus side theres no male character technically, but also what the fuck is this concept and how could it possibly stay entertaining for an entire season let alone what will probably be a 10+ volume manga.

The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World - This is the start of a story no one's ever seen before: the story of the strongest exorcist in a fantasy world. Ahahahahaha. Really? Pretty sure Ive already heard of a couple of those. False advertising. Bad product confirmed.

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World - Does this mean Ray White is a bad guy MC? Probably not what the title intends, but also this just sounds boring.

Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire - Please just stop already. If there was a drinking game for this chart where every time reborn/reincarnated was mentioned everyone would die. Only one of the girls in the picture is even cute too. Just no.

By the Grace of the Gods 2 - There was a first season? What a nobody series.

Farming Life In Another World - If reincarnation is real and Im brought back to this world Im making it my lifes mission to destroy the isekai genre.

Campfire Cooking In Another World with My Absurd Skill - AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ayakashi Triangle - When youre so relieved a show isnt another isekai you almost want to consider it a 6/6 without even watching it. I mean its 6/6 anyways because its by the To-love-ru artist so its the peak of culture as we know it.

OK so, since I know there's multiple people here who want to check out every yuri show, I will say that I follow this manga, it's not bad, but it's pretty.....boring. If peope start hyping this anime I would not get sucked it. Not saying it's not good at all or that it's bait, just don't expect something amazing.

Really? I mean I follow it as it comes out and I can't say I'm ever particularly impressed. Pretty generic art, pretty generic characters, story isn't really all that engaging. I'm pretty much only following it because it's a yuri, TBH. Without that there's pretty much nothing here.

Or maybe it's just the current content that's dull, I can't remember a lot of the early stuff anymore.

I feel like people were really big on Whispering You a Love Song at first but that I haven't heard much about it in a long time. That said I am still excited for the anime and will absolutely be watching it.

I've already been let down several times by anime adaptations of popular yuri works (Citrus, maybe Adachi and Shimamura) so it wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary either way.

From what I remember, the first arc was good. Not amazing, but worth reading. Then I dropped it after a few more chapters because absolutely nothing interesting was happening. It was so boring I couldn't even recall what was going on whenever a new chapter came out.

There's a pretty major problem right now where they've added a lot of new characters over the last couple dozen chapters, and because of the art style and pretty consistent swaps to flashbacks, I can't really follow which character is which anymore.

The two girls look cuter than most yuri mains at least

I'm sure I'm forgetting something or just haven't seen it, but the only on screen yuri kiss in an anime I can remember where I didn't feel like the animators where jacking to it or it was being played for a joke was....that one scene in From the New World?

And that's definitely not a yuri anime. Certainly an interesting setting regarding sexuality in general, though!

Bloom into You definitely has kissing. Citrus too. Netsuzou Trap, Valkyrie Drive Mermaid, maybe Sweet Blue Flowers, Sakura Trick...

I didn't finish Bloom Into You, but the rest of those fall under that first category (except Sweet Blue Flowers I assume, which I haven't seen).

Adding Onimai and My Life as Inukai-san's Dog to the seasonal drop list. Kind of funny that 2 shows about dudes in not-dude bodies are streaming on the same day

Also dropping Revue Starlight. I really liked the first 6 episodes except the end of episode 3 when Hikari slapped Karen, disliked episode 7 but liked episodes 8 and 9 where Nana gets owned twice. Episode 10 was disappointingly predictable, but I loved the scene between Maya and Claudine. Then Hikari hit Karen again, and I was done. Overall, I can't say I dislike it, I just don't care enough to want to watch any more of it.

I looked at next season to see if it was just as Isekai filled, and it was looking pretty safe, but then this happened.

OK yeah, this was how it went.

After reading 3 chapters of Frieren yesterday, I started 4 today and didn't stop until I had to take a break after 69. What a stupendous manga. The "one more chapter" effect is in full force here, perfectly weaving one off lighthearted adventures, unforgettable world building, and longer dramatic arcs throughout this entire first chunk. With a little over 30 chapters to go before I'm up to date for new chapters, it's definitely got all time great potential.

Yuru Yuri's not that good tbqh (though it got better with every season)

Sakura Trick's kinda like Yuru Yuri with kissing.

Sakura Trick isn't bad but it's definitely not comparable in quality to Yuru Yuri

Kanamemo has an openly gay couple, although the anime did kind of cut down or didn't get to a lot of the gayness.

I rememeber Blue Drop being treated as a sacred object back when yuri was this rare, precious, near unobtainable genre. Don't remember it at all, though.

Up to date on Frieren. What luck, I managed to start reading only 2 chapters after a long battle arc had completed.

Easily one of my favorite ongoing series.

Frieren, an Elf who lives for thousands of years, was part of the hero party that defeated the Demon King 50 years before the series starts. Now, with the rest of her party approaching death from old age, she goes to the hero Himmel's funeral, and realizes (internally, if not outwardly just yet) that she has never appreciated the lifespan of other races, and goes on a journey where she learns to better appreciate the passage of time for the rest of the world, make new allies, and gain new insight.

There is of course actual plot arcs and progression, but about half or so of it is one off chapters.

That does sound interesting. What is the full series name?

Soso no Frieren, or Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.

Reading that another season/movie/something for Made in Abyss has been confirmed...which is great but also seems like odd timing considering at the current pace there will not be enough manga content for another season until 2026 or something.

Hopefully this doesn't mean they're going to rush the mangaka or make up their own stuff.

couple things worth noting:

1. They specifically say it's a sequel
2. S2 came out 2.5 years after being announced
3. The author works closely with the anime team
4. It might just be an OVA, but I assume it's more than that

I did read that the author posted something on Twitter saying they would have to release chapters faster, so it might be that they're targeting a sooner date than what I said.

(To be clear, the current manga pace is something like 4 chapters a year, and I definitely think there is room to go faster than that without them being rushed)

There is no real "current pace." The last chapter released in May, making this the longest gap between chapters so far. In general:

2022 - 2 chapters
2021 - 5 chapters
2020 - 4 chapters
2019 - 2 chapters
2018 - 7 chapters

Chapters have gotten longer though, with some being over 100 pages.

Watched I'm Quitting Heroing.

There was basically nothing remarkable about this show, but it was good fun, which is more than a lot of shows can say. Feels like I should be watching more of these silly looking fantasy shows, because while they're rarely impressive they manage to be at least above the bar with pretty high frequency.

Momonosuke's voice actor was changed now that he's older. Now he's voiced by the guy who does Zenitsu in Demon Slayer (and Connie in AoT.....and Dabi in MHA....etc)

Attack on Titan final season conclusion will be 2 parts with the first part airing March 3rd

I say this as an isekai enjoyer, but the way these isekai light novels with titles 12 words long are taking over is too much.

I'm surprised there aren't any "genre + I have a system and no one else does" anime, at least, to mix it up slightly.
