Republicans unironically think the teacher should have also had a gun so she could have gunned that 6 year old down in front of his classmates.

I would like to say no one in their right mind does that, but news keep being posted here on PotD that shows it happens way too often across the waters.

Leaving a loaded gun around within the reach of children, shows you do not have the responsibility required for owning a gun. Whether the cause is forgetfulness or indifference, neither reflects well.

But what about freedom? The second amendment was made for stuff like this. Don't I have the right leave my property wherever I feel like?

(Yes, I get your point, but it was worded horribly and does not have any weight to it. There are thousands of potentially unsafe things we all use every day.)

None of those things are designed with the explicit purpose of ending a human life. The gun lobby has so deeply brainwashed the American public into accepting school shootings as being the price to pay for the "liberty" of owning a handgun or assault rifle.
