On topic...I have very few. However I've played like 3 different games already this uear due to gamepass. So there's that.

Shouldve got a series s honestly. Especially if your not going to get physical games for it.

But at 5 years I'll have the Game of the year edition remastered with all dlc for like $20.

Why buy games knowing that they'll be re-released better every 3 years. Just get one of the better versions.

Most are, some aren't. Persona 5 just came to PC, FF7 and FF16 aren't releasing day in date on PC. Neptunia Reverse isn't on PC.

Why buy anything then, why buy PS5 when PS6 is coming out in 5 years? Why buy PS6 when PS7 is coming out in 10 years.

I've only bought farcry 6, assassin's creed Valhalla and MW2 everything else has been on gamepass.

Bc I can pretty fully use the console out of the box and are you really going to defend Sony...a company that actively pushes against benefits for consumers and want to charge full price for a second remaster of a game that's barely 10 years old. Sony has shown there's 0 benefit to being an early adapter.

I heard the best way to play Elden Ring when it launched was to run the ps4 version of the game on a ps5. Also, I wanna play demon souls. I think that obviously if you wanna play a cross plat 5 years after it releases, the PC version is going to be leaps and bounds better. But at launch it can often make sense (especially for multiplayer reasons) to be on a console

I'm not sure I've ever seen a PS5 or XBS game in person. I've seen footage, sure, but as far as an actual game running on real hardware I don't know if I have.

There is zero benefit to being an early adopter to anything technology related but at some point you have to make that concession with yourself.

You can use a video game right out of the box as well. They will add content down the line just like they will improve and reduce the cost of hardware down the line.

Make a one time purchase to unlock Developer Mode. :)

I'm still pissed they made the ff7r dlc exclusive to it. It's like the only reason currently I want a ps5. And a single game let alone a single dlc isn't worth it.

512 is plenty if you stick to games your actively playing tbh. Thats at least 5 modern games outside of war zone which I know is stupid massive in size.

If you don't have a reason to buy a thing don't buy a thing. Pretty simple.

I feel the PS5 comparison isn't the same at all as the Xbox one. Xbox ones are on PC at the same time, for every game. PS5 has a bunch of exclusives, timed or not. Last of Us 2, God of War 2, FFVII Part 2, FFXVI, Demon's Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon 2, Spidey 2/Wolverine, crap like that.

If you're a super patient gamer type I'm sure most of that is fine, but otherwise I feel PS4/5 still has plenty of exclusive power over PC.

The only thing I've outright bought for my Series S outside of Game Pass is Vampire Survivors DLC.

I'm still extremely satisfied.

People are capable of determining the best methods possible for spending their money. There is no one size fits all console owner. The reasons someone might have to purchase one could vary widely from the expectations one might generalize the entire audience's reasons for purchasing one.
