Nope. Capitalism does because it makes the rich richer and richer till they become Lords who own all the land and regular people are just poor and own nothing.

In contrast to Communism, which starts with the regular people being poor and owning nothing.

Interesting you cannot deny whay I said. You pivot to "b-b-but Communism!"

Do you have kids? If you do you should be worried how things are shaping for them. Even if you leave them a home to inherit they will have a hard time paying their property taxes with what is coming.

Do you own a home?
Assets like homes have to keep going up for the rich to get richer. The system has to do it as that is whole point of the capitalist system. Homes won't crash. Even when they dip the rich will buy them out more.
Only a failing at every level causes a reset but that means the system itself broke people starve in mass and die and banks go out of business in a great depression.

Yeah, but unlike some other economic systems, feudalism is a feature of capitalism, not a bug.

Hell, a single 40' shipping container is already a prebuilt frame for a home, complete with walls.

You'd just need to:

1. cut some windows in it,
2. add a normal front door,
3. spray some exterior spray-foam insulation on it,
4. put in electrical wiring, and
5. put in plumbing and a bathroom.

Voila, a 1-bedroom home... dirt cheap, too.

So you admit this next gen never being able to afford actual land means Capitalism is dead and we are now in Feudalism?
Watched a guy last night who said that is how it is. Most young people will never own a home unless they born to the right family. This is Feudalism.

We do live in feudalism. We've replaced lords with CEOs, knights with lawyers, and serfs with "unskilled yet somehow essential labor"

You know that these shacks cost, when including hookups for water and sewage... $43,000 a piece. And that's for a 64 square foot shack.

Whereas for $59,200, you can get a 160 square foot luxury microhome. I'd say with some mass-production... you could easily get this down to the same price as those shacks.

A 64-square-foot Pallet shelter starts at $4,900.
But external costs such as sewage, electricity, and internet bumped the cost of each bed at the Alexandria Park location up to about $43,000.

So wait, that's the cost to the company running this thing right? They're not actually charging people $43,000 for what is essentially a tool shed with a bed in it.

I see what looks like masonite, and that has a decade or two before dissolving.

i'm not against tiny home concepts, but these houses are very puny. I work with containment panels, and the panels look scarily close to the Edgeguard panels. Search them up and you'll see the resemblance.

And let me say, Edgeguard is incredibly weak. It doesn't block sound, imperfectly blocks moisture, and comes apart easy. I'm not saying it's the same product, but they look eerily similar meaning a similar manufacturer possibly made them.

Those living in the sheds aren't being charged anything. The city of LA buys the shed for $4,900... then spends another $38,000~ kitting it out.

The city could probably buy, en masse, the Meka Modular Liberty 160 for the same money. So they're really not getting their money's worth.

I'd imagine a good chunk of the expanses are due to the land cost. On top of everything else. Honestly you're probabaly paying for the location more then anything else.
