Inflation is insane. All standard stuff now cost so much and the energy warfare of Putin is giving crazy bills for water, heating and electricity. Im cutting down on leisure expenses greatly but just going to the grocery store is such a money drain now. Certain regular items like frozen chicken have increased closer to 100% in price over the past year. Thinking back to 8 years ago when I had a much lower salary but still got more for my money than now. Just feel frustrated.

Sucks for you guys, but guess theres a consequence for decades of increasing reliance on Russian energy and American defense spending. There really isnt an endgame in sight thats palatable either, so its a shitty situation all around thanks to Putin.

You still have better social programs, so at least theres that.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

This is one of those areas where my country would be better off without the EU since we dont rely that much on Russian energy (we actually produce a surplus ourselves) but being tied to the shared EU energy market fucks us over. Membership got perks as well though so Im not calling for a Swexit.

That is true

I can imagine!

And yes, your shop owners suffer because of it for sure.
