Yeah she's pissed at herself and blaming you because it's easier.

I always thought it was funny with my ex she could only come up with one scenario where I got pissed/angry at something.... over the course of over 2 years.

I was working one Saturday and I went to get my 2nd vax shot that morning. Already feeling it that afternoon and she fucking calls me 30 minutes before I get off work and says "Come get me and the kids we're gonna go to El Paso and ride the go karts/mini golf. I was trying to do the start a family thing so I said ok. We did all that shit and we didn't start coming home until about 11pm and they were hungry so we went to Burger King because it was right there on the way home.

I figured we'd all have our shit thought out so when we pulled up I could order real quick and be outta there. NO. My ex on her own was like "I want this"..... then 15 seconds later "No never instead of that get this". Her kids started changing their minds and I couldn't hardly hear the bitch in the drive thru box either so i'm already feeling like shit and just slammed my hand down on the center console like 3-5 times "ONE THING AT A TIME GET IT TOGETHER"

She told me the day she screamed at me I freaked out her kids i'm like BULLLLLLLLLLshit they've seen waaaaaaaaaay worse in the time i've been around and none of it was from me. Plus I was sitting there laughing with them when we got home anyway so I know she's full of shit.

And I just recently found out that my brother and I had 4 celebrity deaths on our recent birthdays (2 on his ost recent one, 1 on my most recent one and 1 on my last one before that). Wtf why our bdays making celebrities die? :(

I saw some article about all the ones that died in 2022 and just happened to notice the dates. Already had my bday this year and there was a celebrity death, but like more of a minor celebrity.

No preference for the game tonight. Rooting against Brady as I have since he left New England but also rooting against the Cowboys. I'll sit this one out.

Right? On the one hand I get it. I got help for depression back in the day and when it finally.panned out I was amazed to see in hindsight how miserable and fucked I had been for years. Wasn't easy wasn't quick was super shitty and hard all the way through but when it finally worked it was amazing how different I saw shit from years back and to this day years after I got on meds that worked.

I just wish there was any way I could convince her to at least really try to go through that process for herself. I'm done with trying to be what she needs as she decides what it is based off her shit, and the relationship is over but if I could find a way to help her help herself I'd give so much.

Ive been off anti depressants and counseling for a decade and im still grateful for it and the fact I can function and be aware of stuff. But also I can't force anyone to do anything and I can't just bend over for anyone whenever they decide they feel a thing.

Thanks. That's a good way of seeing it. It is two separate things. Well actually it was two separate things.

She gets anxiety and panic attacks about winter driving and so ive driven her days where its really foggy or snow is on the roads. Well usually I do, often she refuses to let me help cause she "doesn't wanna ruin my day." I have to beg to get her to let me help. But last Saturday I was at a hockey game with my friends and she messaged saying it was supposed to snow and she's scared about driving in. So I said hey ill be home tonight I can drive you just message me in the morning. Which was unacceptable. Also I forgot to let her know id gotten home safely which was even worse apparently.

So Sunday she left work early and stopped by unannounced screaming at me and when I didn't grovel enough she ended shit. Oh yeah and also Sunday I had a nap so I didn't answer her texts for 2 hours so that was another thing.

Either way I really don't feel it was worth ending things over but I guess she did so now the last two she's been crying and insulting me and making it clear she thinks I'm a piece of shit over it. So that ended abruptly.

As for counseling ive tried to get her to go that route and bring up maybe seeing someone about anti depressant quite a few times. 99% of the time she blew up at me for suggesting it and said "this is who I am" and telling me I'm insulting her by bringing it up. A couple months back she actually made an appointment with a counselor. I don't think she gave it a real chance and when I suggested finding another one or seeing a different doctor or even making an appointment with a psychiatrist she went back to the "this is who I am" routine. I had high hopes when she actually made that counseling appointment but it went nowhere fast and the same cycle repeated.

I'm actually amazed how much I'm hurting right now but in the long run its for the best for both of us.

Honestly it sounds a lot more like she suffers from the preconceptions that admitting you might suffer from mental illness makes you crazy. While I agree that it is best for Canuck to move on because you can't help those that refuse to be helped, it is a case of unfortunate preconceptions.

If there's a way I can help and support her without being drawn in and treated like shit over her stuff I do want to help her though. I don't know if I even can interact with her without doing that but she's seemed so wrecked by everything since she broke up with me I kinda worry about her and can't help it. But also she messaged me back saying she made an appointment and saw a new counselor today (pretty sure that's literally impossible to get a same day or next day appointment) and they said a buncha stuff that was essentially "you aren't depressed nor do you need any meds but also you're reaction in that moment was completely unwarranted and it wasn't okay."

Which... i kinda don't believe any of it. Hard to believe she got an appointment same or next day and it really sounds like her fiction combined with what she figured I'd wanna hear so... I dunno. That is a huge part of it. I opened up to her about when I had to be on medication and how much it finally helped after so long trying different things and approaches and I don't think she thinks its relevant to her or she literally thinks I made it up. Dunno.

I'm not sure how to elaborate on it other than there is a huge portion of the population that don't or can't differentiate between mental illnesses. Like we can all understand that depression is a mental illness and so is schizophrenia but they are both extremely different mental illnesses. So these people hear the term mental illness and automatically assume you are calling them crazy. Which in all honesty isn't accurate for either.

Like crazy has just become a derogatory for mental illness in the same way that the R-word is derogatory for some one with autism and these people don't realize that having a mental illness doesn't make you crazy, but they are too scared to seek help because they are afraid that is how they will be perceived.

I was moving a couple more things out of my dads house the other day. I keep going there and i'm always undecided what the fuck I want to actually keep. In the living room my mom started a trend luckily it only ended up with 3 but Our 3 main dogs in life got cremated and she kept them up a shelf in the living room. I was like... Ahhhh fuck I have a spot for them, they're not huge by any means they're small and I loved all those dogs. Not gonna throw em in the garbage... Probably should have just sprinkled them all out in the yard now that I look back...

But I grabbed my oldest dogs urn thing and the fucking top came off hit the floor and I got dusted by like 20 year old dead dog. I didn't know what to think I was just like "Welll godamnit some of him can stay here and some of him can come with me".

In a related topic. I texted leg girl like 4 days ago. We had been sending videos of where we live. I sent her a picture like 4 days ago of a couch and just NOTHING. I saw her today at work we get a long. She gets off work goes outside and texts me "I love it" I didn't even know she was outside or I got the text and she's like "I love the couch"..... I'm like what the fuck are you talking about? I had been drinking all weekend so I didn't even have it in my mind what the fuck she was referring to at first. Then I saw my phone and i'm thinking... You waited until now? That I don't know how that even makes sense.

I can't figure this one out. She's super interested in short bursts and then GONE. If were both walking around the building she locks onto me and smiles and then GONE.... I can't figure it oot! She never says bye when she leaves work she just bolts out the door and then usually texts me 20 minutes later....If I respond she'll respond. Then If I say something else.... SHE'S GONE.... OHH it frustrates me because I can't figure this damn broad out.
