And I know I have done this myself. But there is pattern for new users to be assumed to be a alts. We should stop doing right away. Because we need more people and that is a good way to run people off.

Alts implies that someone has another account they use. If they don't have another account, they aren't an alt.

I'll use myself as an example: I had two gamefaqs accounts that I made in my teens, I'm 35 years old now. I closed both of those accounts several years ago because I thought I was done with gamefaqs, but now with social media kinda being normified, I find some comfort in the world of forums once again. I've had some trouble adjusting with new accounts, and have had a few get me banned, and I'm being genuine when I say this, banned for stuff that I really don't think was ban worthy, and I don't think would have done the trick 10 years ago, and the only reason it got me banned is because a new account has so little Karma that it is very easy to fall below zero karma if you have enough people report you, and that never would have happened with one of my legend/icon/whatever accounts.

tldr-the only reason I'm on a "new" account right now, I don't consider to be my fault

Who the FUCK not only considers:

A. They want to register an account on an old ass video game website in 2022 that is otherwise free to use
B. Register an account so they can join an old ass community board they had zero knowledge of prior
C. Join said old ass community board with the intention of participating in a particular board that on worst days parallels intentions on par with twitter and 4chan
