Currently adding a bunch of my old band shirts on there. I sold a lot of random stuff before I moved in the beginning of 2021, but now I'm doing some early spring cleaning.

No because a person can easily just say they didn't get their item and they would win

100% but i'm getting used to it as time goes on. hopefully it gets fixed.

Sneakers, they have this whole authenticity program, so I just send my shoes to some guy in Las Vegas that looks at the shoe, makes sure it's real and then have Ebay pay me. Never send to the buyer so no chance to get a charge back, or did not receive items dispute.

nah i guess the goal was mainly a discussion topic with some blogfaqs thrown in. only question was the one in the title and figured people who did (such as bknight) would tell their stories.

Delivery confirmation with signature has always worked for me. Its worth it to not get scammed.

Cool. Yeah, I've sold some shit off of there before. No problem. Kind of enjoyed it. If I were a more motivated person I might make a business out of it actually.

I order a lot more then I sell, last thing I sold were a few old SW action figures, and a couple I got an absurd amount from. All of the transactions were fine, i've never had an Ebay issue. I'd guess i've sold 40 things, maybe bought around 300.

The old 80s TMNT figures. At one point I was going to try to collect the whole set cause I always wanted them all as a kid. I don't remember what my profit was but it was more than originally spent on them

I buy and sell quite a bit on there, never had any issues and the payments have always been fairly quick. Just pay attention to peoples ratings, they have like a 0 or 1 then kinda do some research.

Never sold stuff on ebay, but I loved using their shipping label creator. It's so much cheaper, but I don't think they let you use it now unless you've sold an item.

The seller fees will get ya. The shipping discount is nice at least.

There are new taxes now as well. If you make more than 600 dollars, you need to report it on your income taxes.

That's not how it works. As long as you purchase shipping through eBay OR can provide a receipt with tracking (which will verify delivery to the address) you're fine.

Anyway, do yourself a favor and check "returns not accepted" when you list and you'll never have an issue. I sell on eBay and will tell you collectors, especially of vintage items, are some of the sleaziest most dishonest pieces of shit you'll deal with. A favored trick is "swapping"; they buy your shirt, claim it was damaged or not as described, get a refund, and they send you their old item that's in way worse shape.

Ebay is great if you know how to protect yourself as a seller.

Just sold two watches today on Ebay, actually. Never had any issues besides the one guy that bought something but never paid. Just had to wait a few days to cancel which was annoying, but whatever.

The tax thing is annoying since I don't think I actually made a profit on anything except maybe one item. I mostly use it to get rid of items I don't need/want anymore. Oh well, just have to go through and say I didn't make a profit so no taxes owed.
