He has a lot of people blocked. I am assuming his line of thinking is he won't get banned if he blocks everyone. I also think there was another poster who was posting with him who also has me blocked. My guess is this second person is just another alt of his he made to argue and/or agree with himself. Which is something he commonly did in the past on the NFLB.

I was the one posting against him. If were talking about the same person I do not have you blocked. I believe its something in your settings. If you go to the advanced settings and change the hide ignored quotes setting to no, you should be able to see my posts This site is dumb, and how it works is bad

Yeah, I have no fucking clue who this person is and yet he has me blocked. I'd suspect he's some alt-right troll that visits politics board.

Yeah. The site auto changed everyones setting to hide ignored quotes when they ducked with the settings. So, for a while on another board, things were a little confusing when it first happened. Haha.

And hes definitely seems clueless. Based on their posts, I guess they were the child of divorced parents. And not a good split, either But they also seem like they think living with two parent who were constantly arguing and fighting would have been better than the divorce But I find that unlikely. The house wouldnt have been filled with love had they done that. Not sure why he thinks otherwise

One thing to keep in mind is that "staying together for the kids" is only good if the parents are truly getting along and happy. So if true forgiveness can happen and you are affectionate again, then great and I agree with you. But if there is resentment, the kids can sense that, and a divorce is likely better.

I am divorced and while my kids were unhappy in the short term, they now see how truly happy I am with my new fiance. They now see an example of a positive relationship, and my ex wife and I were not giving a good example for the kids at all. I would rather the kids learn that it is okay to move on when unhappy and find someone who truly does make them happy.

Yeah. I even mentioned the getting along and happy part. That's what most of the articles I told him about said. If both parents get along, it's fine... And I also explained that kids can feel the bad emotions. When the parents don't like each other, kids can feel that. And that's not good for a ton of reasons... He just thinks you can trick a kind in to thinking everything is ok. But it's hard to trick what they feel emotionally...

And I even explained that short-term can have problems. But kids apparently bounce back after like a year. And having short term problems that go away after a year is better than kids being stuck in a house with no love until they leave the house...

I basically explained that it depends on the people involved...

Well, he wants to be involved and is trying to ensure he won't be shut out.

My friend spoke with the lady earlier today and she was on board with everything. Her parents had a messy divorce/custody thing when she was very young so she definitely gets where my friend is coming from. Friend is also meeting with a legal fella on Thursday.

It's all moving in a fairly positive direction it seems.

My friend has barely had a reaction so far, which unnerves him. It's likely his dumb brain just hasn't fully processed it yet.

He did always want to be a dad eventually but he's ensure how his life is gonna be altered by this. He also is worried he won't be as good a Dad as his is.
