Now she says that her husband to be, head coach of Texas basketball, never strangled her and she inititated the confrontation and he acted in self defense and apologized for the situation.

I wouldnt be surprised. Either that or she realized he makes 5 mil a year.

Ya I think after all the dust settled she realized hell lose his job over this. Like the other poster said choking someone is not a normal way of self defense.

A choke hold definitely is and is probably the best way to take someone down without doing lasting damage.

I don't believe that's what happened here though. Dudes that know how to choke someone out that are much weaker than them generally aren't also biting them. Her other injuries are much more telling imo

A texas sports coach? Yeah she's probably being threatened by his supporters to change the story and get him out. Texas sports culture is borderline mafia here, it's not just football they're just the biggest gang

She's claiming now that he didn't strangle her and she never told police that

In her statement Friday, Trew wrote she was the initiator of a "struggle" between her and Beard, and said that Beard did not strangle her the night she called 9-1-1, in the early hours of Dec. 12. Trew also wrote "I do not refute" Beard acted in self-defense the night of Dec. 12. Austin Police's arrest report notes that Trew told police that night, "I could not breathe, he did it probably for like 5 seconds."

In her statement Friday, Trew claims she never told police Beard strangled her.

Now, I have a hard time believing the police would make that up, but it's clear the charges against Beard are going to go nowhere because she is not going to cooperate with the investigation.

Which is another crazy thing to consider because like, if in theory she really did lie about the whole thing and was 100% the aggressor, why the fuck would he stay with someone like that?
