I'd be way more worried about totally shitting the bed with Wentz at QB.

I swear though if I have to see the Jets get blessed with yet another chance only to see Zach Wilson take the field and go 5/17 for 50 yards and 4 picks good lord.

Which is why we should root for Packers/Lions for Week 18 SNF because our other potential options are Miami/Jets with Zach Wilson or Jags/Titans with Malik Willis.

I hope they lose at least one, obviously. Packers need to win out and the Commies need one loss for the Pack to get that #7. If the Commies lose to the Browns, Packers/Lions could be SNF also if it's for all the marbles.

Thanks to Tua giving such a kind gift to Rasul Douglas, there's actually a chance. Not a very good one because we have the Viqueens next week, but a chance.

I've had a sneaking suspicion for a long while now that Green Bay wins that game. It was the Dolphins game I had being the killshot.

Tua threw three godawful picks in the second half and the Dolphins scored 0 points. It wasn't just that last one!

Also, Jets/Seahawks is the virtual elimination game I thought it could become. Jets are guaranteed out with a loss, and Seattle is out unless essentially everyone else also loses.

Problem the Jets have is whoever wins Dolphins/Patriots is guaranteed to end ahead of them. Either they'll be 2 games behind the Dolphins or 1 game behind the Pats. Either is game over.

This is such a weird year though. Dolphins have lost 4 in a row. They can probably lose 5 in a row, and still get in by winning week 18. The Titans can lose 6 in a row and still get in by week 18. The Jets have lost 4 in a row and probably still get in by winning out

Also it's hilarious but the Chargers can still somehow eliminate themselves in a bigass tie at 9-8 if they lose to the Colts and Broncos... Though it requires the Steelers to also win out.

Big winner today is Seattle because they'll be improving their draft position with the Broncos losing and the Rams winning

I still think that dumb tie gets all four NFC East teams in, which kind of blows. Id rather the Lions or Packers jumped someone.

That overtime was clearly being played by teams who knew a tie was good for both sides and neither side was going to take any sort of huge risk. They were going for a win, but more importantly, they weren't going to give the game away.

And frankly I'm ok with it. We saw the Chargers dumbass their way outside of a playoff clinching tie last year by calling timeouts and provoking the Raiders to kill them.

I think it's fine that the tie decides it. It actually gives weight to ties.

Glad I'm not subjecting myself to this misery of a game

As our coach, McCarthy was a playoff choke artist. Was great at getting us that far but only once managed to make the Super Bowl. Many times we lost because the guys weren't on the same page - yes, I get that Egomaniac is a piece of work, but you still gotta keep that ego in check.

I'm not saying McCarthy is a bad coach. Just one who can't win in the playoffs. And yes, Egomaniac is the most guilty, though I recall one time when we lost to the Giants where he was the only one prepared. Despite this being Lambeau in January and us having a bye.

McCarthy is a good coach but there is just something that prevents him from being a great one. Part of it was enabling Egomaniac to inflate himself in such a way that was harmful to team chemistry. Stopping that from happening is a tall order, but how many other QBs win a Super Bowl and an MVP yet don't think they *are* the team? Quite a few. Thankfully for McCarthy, he doesn't have such a player in Dallas right now.

Denver needs to fire everyone including it's QB but it's stuck sooo.

Only the most desperate take that head coaching job. You know you're getting fired in two years no matter what you do.

Eh, I think Denver can be a playoff team with the right coach. They've got the talent. You just need someone who knows how to manage Russ and his limitations now.

Yup, just got a notification. Didn't even last a full season. Funny how it dropped 15 minutes after I posted wondering why it hadn't. The sideline turmoil is always the last straw.

And yeah, nothing attractive about that job. The trade for Wilson and the hiring of Hackett combined to torpedo the franchise. They can turn it around again, like they did after the McDaniels waste job, but that will take at least five years and a miracle worker of some variety. Despite McDaniels presently ruining another team in the division, the Broncos will be the AFC West bottom dweller for quite some time. And they have no one but themselves to blame.

Good news for Jets fans: Mike White is cleared to play next week.

If they can find someone that can manage Russ out of throwing 3 INTs in the Bronco's first offensive quarter of play (first 2 on his own side of the field), they should do everything they can to bring that guy in.

I'm thinking Denver is probably already sunk though unless Wilson can turn himself around mentally (seems pretty dubious right now), or until their cap isn't being decimated by his contract. They're more than welcome though to keep throwing away money in the meantime.
