Now it's Treehouse of Horror XXV, with Bart and Lisa being transported to a demon-filled alternative universe, Moe leading Homer, Carl and Lenny in a Clockwork Orange-style London gang, and the Simpson family being haunted by the ghosts of their Tracy Ullman Show short cartoon counterparts.

Now it's the one where Lisa discovers that Mr. Burns has started fracking operations under Springfield when the tap water in the Simpson house becomes flammable. She contacts Assemblywoman Maxine Lombard to get Burns to stop, which is successful, but they end up having sex when he storms into her office. They decide to keep their relationship a secret while remaining enemies in public, and Burns learns that he needs every citizen of the town to sign away their mineral rights to start fracking again, which he puts Homer in charge of obtaining.

Now it's the one where Bart puts a sandwich that he blew his nose into in the school's time capsule, while Milhouse puts in his rabbit's foot, and the capsule is buried along with some toxic waste courtesy of Mr. Burns. This ends up creating a disaster in the future involving millions of rabbit-like monsters, prompting the Planet Express crew to send Bender back in time to kill Homer, as the monsters have his DNA. Bender makes friends with Homer instead over beer and their similar personalities, which forces Fry, Leela, and Professor Farnsworth to also travel back in time to set things right.

Now it's the one where Bart and Milhouse scheme to get back at a new teacher that was brought to them through a teacher exchange program within the school district, because he's a horrible bully. They find out he's scheduled to light the giant human effigy on fire at a festival known as Burning Guy, and put together a plan to make him fail.

Now it's the one where Homer buys a bass guitar and learns to play it. It turns out that he loves it, but he plays it absolutely everywhere, which starts to drive Marge crazy. She discovers that several other wives around Springfield are having the same problem, so they decide to get their husbands together in a proper band, which will let them have some peace. So Homer, Kirk Van Houten, Dr. Hibbert and Reverend Lovejoy all start playing together, and when they find out that Apu is an amazing singer, he becomes the vocalist. But when Apu's favorite band notices his singing and invites him on their tour, he leaves his own band behind.

Yeah basically. Just in present times instead of flashbacks and with instruments playing rock instead of voices singing a cappella and with a member leaving instead of getting replaced and playing cover songs instead of originals.

Now it's the one where Homer gets kicked out of the house after Moe convinced him to stay out all night Christmas Eve instead of going straight home after work like he promised Marge. He tries to go back to Moe's but Moe avoids him, and to make things worse, Homer's car gets towed away with his phone still inside it. He goes on a depressing walk through Springfield alone, but when Moe gets into the Simpson's house through the chimney and explains to Marge that Himer being late was his fault, she goes out to search for him and bring him home.

Now it's the one where the family gets sent to Rigel 7 after getting on a spaceship disguised as a theme park ride. When they get there, Kang and Kodos place them in a giant pet carrier and show them around, then inform them that they are to be exhibits in a zoo. After a while, they're informed that they have to choose one among them to be eaten, and the family's unanimous votes is for Homer. He's taken and prepared for consumption, but is save by Rigelian hippies, and goes back to save his family.

Now it's the one where Homer gets overloaded with work when the other safety inspector for sector 7-G, the one who had been doing all the work Homer was supposed to do all these years, retires. Because he has so little time left for his family, Marge demands that the time he can spare be spent doing something they'll all enjoy - going to the circus. While there Homer is hypnotized into thinking he's ten years old, but before the hypnotist can undo it he runs off to escape being arrested, leaving Homer stuck believing he's a child.

Now it's the one where Homer becomes friends with Elon Musk, who likes Homer's ideas for inventions and revolutionizes the power plant. Mr. Burns tries to kill Elon. That's all the summary this episode is getting.

Now it's the one where Marge pleads with Homer to seriously try to lose weight and join a weight control group to help him do it. Homer does join a group, but ends up in one led by a morbidly obese man in a mobility scooter, who convinces him that fat is beautiful and to embrace it. Meanwhile, Bart and Lisa try to write a new anthem for Springfield when they find out that the one they already have is used by towns all across the country.

Nah in that one the hypnosis to make him think he was twelve was undone pretty quickly, it just unlocked the repressed traumatic memory. This one he stays thinking he's ten until the end and bonds with Bart during.

Now it's the one where Marge starts working for a transportation app service due to being fed up with being the family chauffeur and not being appreciated for it, but runs into trouble when the people she drives around don't like her driving style, and even more trouble when the local taxi drivers get angry with her for stealing their customers. Meanwhile, Homer, Carl and Lenny end up getting Moe's bar destroyed when they were supposed to be in charge of it for a few hours, and without any money to fix it this time, Moe's gets a job at the power plant as a janitor.

Now it's the one where Homer is given the job of looking after a Nigerian princess while her father is in town to make a uranium deal with Mr. Burns. She decides she wants to see the town, but not wanting to lose track of her, Homer takes her to Moe's. Having just lost all his money to a Nigerian email scammer, Moe is suspicious at first, but they end up enjoying each other's company. He takes her to see the town like she wanted, but they have to keep evading Homer while they tour around.

Now it's the one where Reverend Lovejoy has to somehow get the money to repair the church after a jetpack that was sent to Chief Wiggum by mistake crashes into it and was deemed an act of god by the insurance company. He, his wife, Marge, Ned, Sideshow Mel and Agnes Skinner then take to the casino to start counting cards after being taught how by Apu. They get the money, but another problem comes up when Homer is taken hostage by the casino owners in retaliation.

Now it's the one where Homer becomes the new Duffman after the previous one breaks his hip during a parade and Homer wins the contest to select a new one. The CEO of Duff tells him that he has been implanted with a microchip that will send them a report if he drinks, as Duffman is required to be sober while on the job. When Homer lives his life without beer, he sees the misery that Duff has on both the people and the environment, and becomes disillusioned with alcohol in general.

Now it's the one where Bart lies about being the culprit behind a bulldozer crash that destroyed part of Springfield, but Marge doesn't believe him this time, and decided to follow him literally everywhere until he confesses. She eventually gives up, but not before her constant following has a psychological impact on Bart. Meanwhile, when Flanders gets a new puppy, Homer bonds with it and starts ignoring Santa's Little Helper.

Now it's the one where Homer finds an undeveloped roll of film in his old suit, which turns out to be exclusively photos of Bart and Lisa fighting when they were younger, sending the family on a trip down memory lane to the first time the two kids started getting along. When Bart was four and Lisa was two, they were at each other's throats constantly, to the point where it even gave Marge nightmares. To give them a little break, Flanders offers to let his grandmother watch them for a while. Homer and Marge leave them in her care but when she appears to die, Bart and Lisa head into the city on their tricycles in pursuit of a passing ice cream truck, and have to fend for themselves.

Now it's the one where Homer is forced to spend time with Abe by Abe's old army buddies after they see how Homer treats him, and Grandpa tells stories about some of the things he did back in those days. Meanwhile, Bart developers a crush on Milhouse's Dutch cousin Annika, and plans to start using e-cigarettes to impress her.

Now it's the one where Marge gets the town to pass anti-bullying legislation after Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney humiliate Bart at his first school dance. At first, Chief Wiggum makes legitimate arrests under the new law by taking in the bullies who got Bart, but then he starts taking in anyone accused of bullying whether it's legitimate or not. Rod and Todd Flanders, having enough of how Homer treats their dad, have him arrested. At bully rehab, Homer has a revelation that sees him leaving as a hero.

Now it's the one where Lisa turns Springfield Elementary into a Waldorf school, which focuses on teaching through hands-on activities and creative play. Groundskeeper Willie is made to be the math team coach, and when he observes Bart's natural gift for calculating angles after he hits a driving Superintendent Chalmers in the head with an egg, he appoints Bart as the math team captain. Bart is going to lead the Springfield Elementary team against the Waverly Hills team... but he knows nothing else about math.

This is the episode that has the Rick and Morty couch gag.

Now it's the one where Homer is diagnosed with narcolepsy, and uses it as an excuse to sleep all day and get nothing done. Marge gets fed up and tells him to go to the pharmacy to get his medication, but when he goes to Moe's instead and comes home reeking of beer, she takes him to a marriage counselor. The counselor recommends a trial separation and that they see other people, after which Homer dates the pharmacist he gets his meds from, but is horrified to find out that her father is dating Marge.

Now it's the one where Homer spends all the money he was supposed to use on a new washing machine on a special meat smoker instead. Marge is angry at first, but the meat that Homer makes with the smoker is so incredibly good that he's instantly forgiven, and the Simpsons have a cookout where it's a big hit with their frieds as well. A professional TV chef gets a whiff of it and challenges Homer to a cook-off, but when the amoker is stolen the night after Homer accepts, Bart and Lisa go on the case to get it back.

Now it's the one where Patty and Selma learn that their father actually died of lung cancer, and resolve to finally quit smoking for good. Patty finds it incredibly difficult compared to Selma, who doesn't show any signs of withdrawal whatsoever. When it turns out that Selma did in fact relapse ten minutes after they decided to quit, it turns the twins against each other and Patty moves out, going to live with Marge and Homer. Meanwhile, Maggie becomes friends with a group of various animals, including Plopper the Spider-Pig.

Now it's the one where Homer is forced to take down all of his "Everscream Terrors" Halloween decorations after Lisa get traumatized at a Krustyland Halloween Horror event, causing anything even remotely relevant to the holiday to terrify her. Homer stores all the decorations in the attic, but when three disgruntled Halloween pop-up store employees that Homer got fired earlier break into the house to terrorize them, the attic is exactly where Homer and Lisa have to take refuge. Meanwhile Marge takes Bart trick-or-treating, but they find it's too late.

This is the first episode of the series that was about Halloween without being a Treehouse of Horror episode.

Kind of similar, but Peter Founded that group, and the overall plot of that episode was that Lois' long lost brother Patrick (voice of Robert Downey Jr.) was a serial killer who targeted fat guys.

...Unless there's another fat-advocacy group episode that came later. Been a long time since I watched Family Guy.

The Simpsons is a golden show from beginning to now as far as I'm concerned, sooooo I don't know how to pick one that will satisfy your request.

What are you on about? It's a well known fact the Simpsons had a golden age from around season 2 or 3 until about season 8, maybe 9 at which point it declined in quality. No one who has watched earlier seasons can claim it hasn't changed...A TON.

No "golden age" of anything is a fact. Widely held opinions are still opinions.

I'd agree Simpsons dipped a bit around the middle, but even then it was still decent, and recently it's gotten very good again (since Season 25 or so).

That's simpsons from season 12 onward. They copy their own older ideas with worse results A LOT.

Now it's Treehouse of Horror XXVI, with Sideshow Bob finally killing Bart and building a machine that lets him do it again and again, Homerzilla rising from the ocean to destroy Springfield, Japan, and Milhouse going mad with power after he and Lisa gain telekinetic powers.

It's not a fact, correct. But I'm allowed to have my opinion just as you're allowed to have yours, and neither is going to change.

Now it's the one where Lisa makes a new friend and bonds with her over magic tricks and shows. Her father is an internet billionaire, and he turns out to have similar interests to Homer, and they bond as well alongside their daughters. But after a while, Lisa starts to feel that her friend is incredibly spoiled and entitled, which leads to a fight. Homer tries to remain friends with the girl's dad, but when a trip to his private island causes another fight between Lisa and his daughter, Homer has a choice to make.

Now it's the one where Lisa goes to New York with Laney Fontaine for a month, after the Broadway legend witnesses her musical talent and decides to make her a showbiz kid. Lisa passes her audition and gets to perform with Laney on stage, but after a video call between the two of them, Marge decides that she doesn't like what show business is doing to her daughter, and takes the rest of the family to New York to bring her home.

Now it's the one where Lisa and Bart break in to an abandoned asylum so Lusa can try to find one of the items belonging a disgraced female Springfieldian inventor, so she can clear her name. While they're there Bart finds a diary belonging to a committed sociopath, and brings it to school with him, which scares Ralph into telling his dad. When Homer and Marge find out, they try to perform a disguised sociopathy test on Bart, but he discovers their intentions and deliberately gives the answers that make him seem like the worst sociopath ever and lands himself in a modern asylum. Meanwhile, Lisa continues her mission to clear the inventor's name.

Now it's the one where Bart's coming of age story is detailed, using flashbacks to when he was four and six, and flashforwards to ages twelve, fifteen, eighteen, and twenty. Bart deals with Homer's neglect, his own growing rebellious nature, and constantly being overshadowed by Lisa and her accomplishments.

Now it's the one where Lisa is picked by her new computer coding teacher to think of a new and useful app that could be programmed. After a photo Marge posts on Facelook gets Homer fired, Lisa comes up with the idea for an app that would tell you the consequences of something you post online before you actually post it. The apps is quickly developed, tested, and found to work perfectly, but Lisa becomes concerned when it also turns out to be the first sentient artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, Homer goes back to the only job he ever had that he liked - being a dishwasher at a Greek restaurant.

This episode guest stars Kaitlin Olson of Dee in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame.

Now it's the one where Bart immediately develops a crush on his new teacher, and Homer buys a new brand of milk that forces Bart and Lisa to unexpectedly experience puberty early, which gives Lisa acne problems and adds fuel and facial hair to Bart's crush-mania. Bart enters into competition with Skinner for the teacher's affections, and becomes infuriated when Skinner taunts him after Bart sees them kissing in the hallway. Meanwhile, Lisa's use of makeup to hide her zits gains her popularity with the third-graders.

Now it's the one where Apu's brother Sanjay decides he wants to give his ownership share of the Kwik-E-Mart, which has become larger than Apu's due to an addiction to lottery scratchers, to his son Jay. Jay transforms the store from Kwik-E-Mart to Quick & Fresh, stocks it with healthy all-natural products, and eventually fires his uncle. Meanwhile, Homer actually manages to get Bart to completely stop being a prankster, which positively impacts everything from his grades to his bond with Lisa.

Now it's the one where Professor Frink uses science to turn himself into a man whom women find attractive. Then, overwhelmed by the attention, he invents an algorithm to perfectly pair the lonely men and women of Springfield, realizing that scientific exploration is his true love. Meanwhile, Marge, Bart, and Lisa visit Grampa for Valentines Day and try to rescue the occupants from a drug-induced hallucination that allows them to relive their happiest memories.

Now it's the one where Bart accidentally sends a sweet homeless woman's cart into the river, and he allows the vagabond to live in his closet for a small fee. When Lisa discovers that the woman is an incredible folk singer, she offers her own closet and plans a concert, only to be disappointed by Hettie's surprising substance abuse and violent nature. Meanwhile, Homer tries to prove that he is handy, but accidentally traps the cat in the walls of the house.

Now it's the one where Lisa discovers her calling to be veterinarian after giving CPR to a tased raccoon and becomes an intern at the local office, but learns a tough lesson when her neglected class hamster dies. Meanwhile, Marge moonlights as a crime scene cleaner for a little extra money, and the trauma of the gory scenes make her increasingly dead inside.

Now it's the one where Lisa signs up as a future candidate for a trip to colonize Mars in 2026. Marge is vehemently against the idea, as she can't stand the thought of never seeing Lisa again. When reverse psychology only makes Lisa want to sign up more, the whole family takes it another step forward and all sign up as well. When they go to live in a model version of the homes that will be built on Mars, Marge turns out to be a natural at most of the daily tasks because they're similar to the housework she does regularly anyway, which puts her at odds with Lisa in a different way than she was before.

Now it's the one where Smithers finally expresses his true feelings to Mr. Burns, but gets completely ignored. When Homer sees how depressed is at work afterwards, he organizes a get-together involving every gay man he can find so that Smithers can find someone among them, but Smithers just gets irritated and leaves after one drink. He runs into Julio and the two fall in love, and make plans to move to Julio's home country, Cuba. Meanwhile, Milhouse competes against a slick new kid for the role of Rick in the Springfield Elementary production of Casablanca.

Now it's the one where Lisa is infuriated when she overhears Marge tell Homer that she can't stand jazz music, even when it's Lisa playing it. Learning that her mother was always only pretending to like her music, Lisa avoids Marge's hugs and refers to her as "Marjorie". Marge takes Lisa on a trip to Capital City to try and patch things up, but every attempt she makes just angers Lisa further, to the point that she even stops wearing her pearl necklace to distance herself further from Marge. Meanwhile, Bart is upset that his pranks have become predictable to everyone, but he finds a new way to trick people when he finds the perfect accomplice - Maggie.

Now it's the one where Homer tries to get Maggie to go to sleep by telling her the story of the Simpsons/Flanders joint trip to the grand canyon. Two years earlier, Ned won a trip to the canyon for being the "most selfless cleaner" in a charity cleanup operation on skid row. Since it's a trip for two families, the Flanders invite the Lovejoys, but are convinced by them to take the Simpsons instead. Tensions run high on the trip because of Homer and Bart's antics, but when their tour guide and his donkey fall off the side with most of their supplies, Marge and Maude have to learn to get along while Homer and Ned do the same while going to find help.
