Funds rank in general is incoherent beyond belief. Selling the gems, the items the game actively tells you exist only to be sold, hurts you funds rank.

If I recall correctly, you get different dialogue for visiting Sophia with Hawkeye (he knows her) or Serra (who assumes Sophia is a ghost and freaks out.) The latter might be exclusive to a Hector Mode recruit, but I think Serra shares it with her.

Morph Uhai is pretty terrifying statistically. Sadly, his only weapon is a bow, and he is therefore easily pinned to a wall by any three losers.

Looking at Hector party picks.

Can't decide between Fiora and Farina. I guess it won't hurt to use Fiora and just see where she's at when I get to Farina...but I am using Dart, so the lack of selling the Ocean Seal and then also paying for Farina is definitely financially painful!

Also going all in on Rebecca because I like her.

Kent vs Lowen will be decided by their stats once they meet up.

Good to see you used Athos' real legendary weapon.

I experienced how busted Luna can be firsthand from the other end earlier.

What makes it even better is that he doubles the dragon if you give him a body ring (two on hard mode), so you can win that battle in one turn if you have a Physic staff (or do some crazy rescue shenanigans).

You can also win it one attack with Filla's Might and a Luna crit.

Farina is the obvious Hector mode novelty pick, but you'll want another flier in the meantime so it's definitely worth using Fiora (and, arguably, Florina until you get Fiora)

Don't forget to train Bartre so you can recruit the best character in the game!

Mark: Don't worry little one. One day you'll be in a game called "Super Smash Brothers Melee" and then everyone will know love you.

Anyway if there is one thing I absolutely want for an FE6 remake its to give Hector a much more badass death. He needs to die for the story to happen (since it sparks the Ostian revolt which causes Etruria to bail Lycia out), but he definitely needs to not get done in off screen.

Either give him a badass cinematic or a playable gaiden where you control him + Oswin + Matthew in a last stand or something like that.

Off to a good start.

Early game level thresholds are so fun an fascinating. Kent is snowballing right now because he gained 1 point of strength and 1 point of speed when he hit level 2. This gives him exact enough to double bandits, and exactly enough damage to 1 round them. He didn't manage that in my first playthrough until level 4.

They would definitely do this. I think a FE7 remake would expand Lyn's role somewhat as well. They know where the character popularity lies.

Why stop there, you don't think they'd put Lyn in FE6?

Honestly I would not be surprised if they retooled FE6 and 7 into one large game.

My biggest fear about a FE7 remake is that they turn Mark into some "chosen" super special person that gets blown by the entire cast. I personally like that they're not only optional for they story (You can opt to not have a tactician at all), but that even being in the story they still put most of the spotlight on the characters that fight.

You'll be talked to every now and then, but you run off to safety once the fighting starts. You aren't this "mysterious warrior" who's secretly royalty/a god. Your parents aren't mentioned and probably aren't super special either. You're just some regular human who may or may not be good at setting up plans.

But yeah, I would like Lyn's role to be expanded. She gets pushed aside after her arc, and she still had more room to grow.

Playable Mark with divine pulse powers is absolutely happening but if they don't make the story all about him I'll accept it.

I'll actually go the opposite route and say that I'd really like a playable Mark with more importance...as long as they don't overtake the plot. Self-inserts aren't bad! Fire Emblem is just bad at them.

I believe it's 'Mark' regardless of gender. The name is masculine, though there's naturally no canon confirmation of the avatar's gender. I'd be down with Divine Pulse being a mainstay in the games, just hope this doesn't retroactively makes every MC a god or something.

Yeah. My ideal game would have Mark have slightly more importance, while still not hogging the plot. Alongside with them being involved in the support system, S rank being decided at the ending.

I definitely want more FE7 integration with FE6 in general but I also don't want them to go TOO overboard with it. I'd like Lyn to show up, Hector to get a badass send off, maybe a few more scenes with Eliwood (potentially giving Roy more characterization here too?). Other than that, maybe answer a few 'where did they go' things FE7 left ambiguous (maybe Lugh and Reigh could find out what happened to Nino after she disappeared, maybe have Rath get mentioned in the Sacae route, etc) but otherwise let it be its own game. Don't bring a bunch of the FE7 characters back to be playable or anything like that- maybe Lyn could be a late game join in the true ending at most.

Oh and Lilina should be made a Lord and given an increased role in the plot.

FE7... I really don't think they need to change too much, honestly? I could see them expanding Mark a bit but otherwise I don't really believe it could benefit too much from changing and think there is more harm they could cause than good.

I think the best way they could handle Mark IMO is to not have him be playable and keep him as just 'the tactician', but he just passively gets support points with everyone deployed on a map (like FE9's system). Or heck, you could run around as them in some kind of 'base camp' like Three Houses/Engage have. Also, yeah, let you 'S rank' the characters and marry at least a decent portion of the waifus/husbandos (I'm all for wish fulfillment/fanservice here as long as it doesn't get in the way of anything!), but otherwise stay out of the plot.
