It wasn't LBJ - that is such a silly theory.

He was a Communist, from what I understand, right?

And the man had training in the U.S. marines - so he knew how to shoot, and had the mindset of a natural born killer.

It is just one of those things in history that happened.

Why did Hinckley try and kill Reagan? Same thing - just one of those things that happens.

History is weird like that.

I agree. I'm not really into conspiracy theories but there are way too many holes and questions in the "official" reports of the JFK assassination.

Maybe to keep him from proving he didn't do it. If he's alive and keeps denying it was him, it would make people wonder.

If he's killed there then that stops any awkward questions being asked when inconsistencies arise between Oswald's testimony and the evidence presented by the FBI. With Oswald dead and unable to defend himself in court, then no questions are asked about the official investigations.

I'd definitely recommend watching "JFK: Destiny Betrayed" a 4-part documentary by Oliver Stone that looks into evidence and testimony around that day.

He had a mother, a wife, and two children, one of which was born about a month before the assassination. I wouldn't say he had no family.

Conspiracy theories aside, Oswald was basically just an extremist Communist loser who wanted to make himself important.

Yeah I think the "Oswald wasn't involved" arguments sort of hinge on this idea that the conspirators are able to assassinate a president and cover their tracks but only if people don't hear him testify which...idk it's not very compelling.
