I saw 30 Seonds to Mars and Seether open for Audioslave in OKC in 2005

Jared Leto sucked but Audioslave made up for it.

I don't remember what tickets cost.

I've never seen any live music by musicians with any amount of real fame.

Matter of fact, the only live music I have seen were the people that came to play at open mic night in the bar area of the restaurant I used to work at, but that wasn't by choice.

Probably the Rolling Stones

it was a massive festival, this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molson_Canadian_Rocks_for_Toronto

Estimates at 500,000 people in attendance. Some estimates as high as 1-million unique concertgoers throughout the day.

I got my ticket for free out of my dad's beer case. He bought his for $21 Canadian, which at the time, was like $12 USD.

Other acts there included AC/DC, Rush, The Guess Who, Sass Jordan, The Flaming Lips, Jeff Healey, Tea Party, Sam Roberts, The Isley Brothers (amazing live show, one of the best of the day), and Justin Timberlake.

The Stones fucking blew. They, as the headliner, were 90 mins late and played for just 40 minutes. AC/DC played for over an hour.

edit: Here's the Isley brothers. So unreal live, their guitarist was really good. They stuck out to me as being really good (Them and Rush of course)

Zz Top. (7 or 8 years ago)

$50? (Was drinking a lot that night)

It was an extremely loud concert. I was making the joke that the loudness was due to the fact that Zz Top fans are hard of hearing due to being old. From what I can tell, Zz Top played well

I'd have to think it was Stone Temple Pilots when they were touring for Purple back in the 90's.

Also seen Tool on the Lateralus tour (early 2000's), in 2017 or 2018, then earlier this year.

So for the time periods, I'm guessing STP would have been the more famous ones.

(Unless the Melrose Place fans outnumber all others when I saw Letters to Cleo)

That's actually a tough one.

I saw Waka Flocka Flame on Warped Tour when he was still active and popular. Also saw Linkin Park on Warped when Chester was still around. Saw Juice WRLD in his last show in Canada before he passed as well.

I saw Fetty Wap live also, but that was when he was way past his glory days.

"the signs were there all along"

Most famous person thus far seen is Paul McCartney though, probably. Or Kanye, but McCartney i think had more impressions due to 40-50 years vs 10-12 years.

Btw some of these bands, not to be a snob, are actually not that famous at all. Well known in what they do, but not "famous".

Show one:

Motorhead
Testament

Show two:
Queensryche (On the Operation:Mindcrime 2 tour; they played it in full, plus about 3-4 random openers + 1 encore)
ISIS
