Did Bob and Charlotte cheat on their spouses?

This wasn't the main takeaway from the movie, certainly. It was a film about inner turmoil and finding a connection at your most loneliest. One of those movies that can touch people a certain way if they are familiar with the feelings being subtly expressed by the main characters.

HOWEVER, I can't also help but wonder if the main characters in the film cheated on their spouses during their time spent together. Certainly there is emotional intimacy involved, so maybe the question really boils down to if someone considers emotional intimacy cheating. They share a kiss, but it felt oddly platonic and supportive? There is a total absence of lust throughout the film. Desire, yes, but almost like an innocent type of desire brought upon by a yearning for human connection. Like a sense of purity to it all. Emotions are complicated and I'm rambling so I'll stop now. Please offer your thoughts.

I guess I'll also pose the question to the "yes they cheated" answers: at what point did they cheat? Was it the final kiss? The pecks in the elevator? The night of karaoke?

Clarification that is needed as it is definitely the reason for lack of replies: It's heavily implied that Bob slept with the lounge singer, but my question is if Bob and Charlotte's relationship counts as cheating.

Does an emotional affair reach the level of cheating? Are there levels to the cheating game?
