This wasn't the main takeaway from the movie, certainly. It was a film about inner turmoil and finding a connection at your most loneliest. One of those movies that can touch people a certain way if they are familiar with the feelings being subtly expressed by the main characters.

HOWEVER, I can't also help but wonder if the main characters in the film cheated on their spouses during their time spent together. Certainly there is emotional intimacy involved, so maybe the question really boils down to if someone considers emotional intimacy cheating. They share a kiss, but it felt oddly platonic and supportive? There is a total absence of lust throughout the film. Desire, yes, but almost like an innocent type of desire brought upon by a yearning for human connection. Like a sense of purity to it all. Emotions are complicated and I'm rambling so I'll stop now.
