"Games" like WoW provide an illusion that you're playing a game but in reality you're just running down a predetermined path the developers have set for you, that every single other player has done in the exact same way. From the quests, gear choices, combat mechanics. Everything. It's nothing but a pointless waste of time every second you spend on it.

Play a real game, not that trash.

It's also usually a buggy mess because it's a Jenga tower of coding at this point

Tbf wow classic isn't like that as much as modern

I come back to WoW every few years for about two months each time, but only to play on classic servers because modern WoW is soulless

1) You really want to play a Blizzard game?

2) It's getting horrible reviews from fans.

3) World of Warcraft is one of the most blatant skinner box in gaming.

It is. The design choices are just different. Unless the game has overwhelmingly large amounts of options, such as Path of Exile or Guild Wars, every possible combination of things is tested. Heck, one could argue classic is even more canned than modern ones as they did more testing in the first place.

After the last 2 theyve lost all my trust. The game isnt about being fun its designed around monetizing through streaming.
