28. Super Steeet Fighter 4

Day 27: "I am Malenia - Blade of Miquella." Malenia in Elden Ring. It's a fight that feels unfair at first, but as you learn attack patterns, spacing, and what you can get away with, it becomes far more manageable and fun. She truly is representative of the best of FromSoft. I refuse to get into simping phase.

Day 28: Horse Armour in TES Oblivion. It was rightfully derided and mocked when it was first released. Imagine paying $5 for cosmetic DLC on something you didn't even use in game anyways. They even released a physical disc and case for it, because DLC wasn't a thing yet. How utterly prescient Bethesda studios were. Cosmetic DLC is all the rage nowadays. Bethesda game studios was right - they were just 12 years ahead of their time.

Good thing? No. Favourite thing. It's amazing that something that has become so important to the industry started as $5 horse armour. I love that as much as I hate it. It was only the start.

30. I don't do it so much anymore, but I used to play Japanese games on Saturdays to coincide with the Cartoon Network/Toonami anime stuff regardless of what other game I might have been playing throughout the week.

29: Okami is the obvious answer here. I love the 2DHD style that Square Enix is using for some of its AA games - Octopath Traveler, Dragon Quest 3 2DHD, Live A Live, and FFVI PR are all great examples of this. Okami, though? That's brilliant, and not at all dated. Beautiful.

Day 25: Online multiplayer - Ghost Recon 2, back in the xbox days when every random used a mic. Had a good group of people from all over the world, so there was always a match going. The host was this weird Canadian dude with a super deep voice and thick Newfie accent.
Day 26: Favorite NPC - Kim Kitsuragi from Disco Elysium, he's just the best
Day 27: Best boss battle - Maiden Astraea from Demon's Souls
Day 28: Favorite DLC/expansion - Shivering Isles (was my favorite until Hearts of Stone but I already used The Witcher 3)
Day 29: Nicest graphics/art style - Darkest Dungeon
Day 30: Personal gaming tradition - My annual Chrono Trigger playthrough!

Happy New Year folks

Day 30: Autumn weather makes me feel nostalgic, so I tend to spend Oct-Nov playing an old game in my back catalog from when I was a child, or I'll start a new game of Skyrim. This year was playing Trails from Zero and a bit of Earthbound. Kind of want to play a Harvest Moon game now. Maybe I'll start a new game of Friends of Mineral Town while waitinf for A Wonderful Life's remake to be announced for pre-order. I want that white goat.

Day 18: Ape Escape Arcade - In the time machine there is a side room with arcade style games. One of them was a Smash TV clone that was fantastic to play.

Day 19: Soul Caliber 2 - It's what I grew up with and had many play it on the PS with me.

Day 20: That one in FF7. Cliche but I don't really think about sad moments in games all that much.

Day 21: Super Mario Bros 3 - I never owned it but had friends that had it. Takes me back to visiting their houses back in the day.

Day 22: Sonic the Hedgehog - Hyper Sonic: From the classic 2D days. It took some getting used to but once you learned, it felt very smooth to control.

Day 23: Goldeneye 64: Exception when others picked Oddjob to be a jerk.

Day 25: StarCraft Brood War: If I could tell you how much of my life got spent on classic battle net back in the day.

Day 26: Diablo (Any one in the series): Deckard Cain

Day 27: Metal Gear Solid - vs Hind D: The build up to this boss was really neat and the hidden attention to detail with the codec if you're replaying the game is a nice touch. Hidden bonus in the Snowfield afterwards if you're paying close attention (easy to miss).

Day 28: Borderlands 2: Added a bunch of gameplay before I moved on. I'm not a fan of buying DLC and don't count DLC that adds back what we expect (looking at you modern fighting games). Naturally I don't have a large selection for this.

Day 29: Cyberpunk 2077: Despite it's faults, it's an aesthetic I like.

Day 30: Metal Gear Solid Christmas - Much like watching Die Hard, I usually replay this once around Christmas or New Years.

thought of another tradition. Watching I'm in your manger killing your savior. Along with 2 or 3 other videos posted by that animator. I know it isn't technically gaming but they make D&D references.
