*receives a call* me: "Are you half an hour away?" driver: "I'm fifteen minutes away." *twelve minutes later* driver: "I'm here. Where are you?" If they had given me ANY NOTICE AT ALL, I would have asked for the day off. But they didn't. I had to call the company to ask where my flooring was and they told me that it was scheduled to be delivered tomorrow -- which is now today. A lot of people can't simply take a day off without notice. The US Senate just said that railroad workers, for instance, are legal slaves. I'm lucky to have someone to be there on my behalf, but even they were expecting more than twelve minutes' notice. Calling me upset that I'm not there waiting when they didn't inform me it would be coming until literally the night before. I ordered this weeks ago. They should have let me know before now. ... They said it had to be in a climate controlled environment and could not be left in a frigid garage.
