Seriously a 20 piece nugget meal nearly cost more than a pizza

2 McDoubles were 2 bucks once upon a time. Havent been there in a long while and got that and it was near 6 bucks, and Ill probably never go back ha.

Get the app and check out the deals. If you're lucky, sometimes you can get an 20piece with 2 any size fries for $6. Add two drinks, and that's $8 for enough food for 2.

I dont understand people who eat anything other than their breakfast menu. The burgers and chicken products are frankly crap compared to the competition. Their breakfast menu is legit.

But yeah what used to be $5 is suddenly $8 and im not sure its worth it.

McDonald's? Shit, let's talk about Jack in the Box and their tacos that are no longer 2 for a dollar. That was my lifeblood. But yes, fast food is not cheap anymore.

I just don't understand how the place is still thriving. The food is the worst, it's not cheap compared to other better options, and the service is always awful.

The fact that double cheeseburgers cost almost exactly the same as a triple cheeseburger should be illegal.

20 piece nuggets here is $6.00

I did get a double quarter pounder for the first time in 5 years a week ago and it was 8.50 for just the sandwich though. Wtf.

I don't go to fast food places unless I have coupons.

The app has infinite bigmac meals (daily) for $5 so that's basically all I get.

mcdonalds isnt meant to be a meal for a grown up. if youre complaining about the cost and comparing it to an entire pizza you might want to consider making your own dinner by putting that $20 towards it

It's good to use this type of stuff as an excuse not to eat food that's terrible for you.

I think a big mac meal used to be like $5. These days they're $6 on its own

The big Mac was literally advertised as the adults option for a sandwhich. I remember the commercials showing the parents getting excited or something like that when the kids wanted mcdonalds

Ill echo others here and say get the app. It has deals every day and if you go there and dont use the app then thats on you.

Wasn't the selling point of fast food that it's fast, cheap, and convenient? It's gotten slow and expensive, and yeah, mcdonalds is among the worst offenders. They made things more expensive and refuse to hire more people, so the rare times I've gone there, they've had slow lines. Their food in general is shit, too, but I do like their fillet-o-fish. It is still convenient, but there are far better options.

I'm surprised people still go to mcdonalds, but if they keep this up then maybe people will stop. They're pinching pennies and squeezing customers to keep pumping up their stock price, which seems to be working up to now.

I got a $6 Royale with Cheese medium combo using the app coupon earlier this week.

That is practically everything down my way.

Just felt like eating a regular ol' 15 piece butterfly shrimp box from captain D's (yep.....there is still a lot of them in southeast united states), something that used to cost no more than 5 dollars. Add another 6 pieces a butterfly shrimp for like 1.80 or something like that.

I haven't ate there in more than a year, so I was surprised when the price was like 14 dollars.

Going to a local chinese restuarant had me paying 15 dollars for a pint of roast pork fried rice and a order of fried chicken wings, =/ lol.

Like some others said, at least mcdonalds still has the 20 piece chicken nuggets and choose any 2 size fries for free (no basket size for this deal though....they ain't that charitable) deal on the app over here for 6 dollars. Using the app in general still has fairly low prices, but outside of app use everything kinda' sucks.

You're in luck, Alpo is usually pretty cheap.

A Dairy Queen dipped cone cost me nearly 6 bucks CAD a few weeks ago. I mean, I know they use "Premium" ingredients but that's a bit much. I would have expected to pay closer to 4.

at least one isn't getting so screwed by the other options if pressed for time (5$ big-mac deal).

even bought some Chick-fil-A sauce to go with my chicken sandwiches (5$ for a bottle) has to be worth it.
next time i'll spring for the Polynesian sauce.

I live in a rural area, so it might not be like this in big cities, but I think part of it is because they are just fucking every where. They're so accessible. There are several towns near me where if I need to just pick up a quick meal, the options are Subway, McDonald's, or a random gas station. No Burger King, Wendy's, Sonic, nothing.

Plus, it's nostalgic. Burger King makes better burgers, but McDonald's has a recognizable taste. It's a craving. You can eat some thing better from another chain, but you can't fill that craving.

I'm sure the two guys they have staffed at my local mcdonalds are soaking up all these massive price increases through their slightly higher wages.

Use the app. They have crazy good deals on it. I only go when I can basically eat for free with the app deals.

But as I predicted greedy ceos gonna be greedy. I'm all for a living wage but it's a band aid to the problem. Need to fix the bigger issue.

Haven't put a lot of thought into it. Someone smarter than me could either make this idea better or explain why it wouldn't work. Maximum wage. Any profit over a certain amount is divided and split among all employees as a bonus. I feel this would help promote workers to provide quality work/service.

The app helps, but also, the nearest McDonalds is 20 minutes one way, so temptation goes away when I can go to my local mom and pop deli thats only 10 minutes away.

I don't see a company stopping at the maximum. McDonald's ain't gonna close up for the day cause they reached a magic number or profits. Could cause them to stagnate on expanding/improving though
