No idea. Felt like the same exact game again with the exception that you play as some psychotic Kane Hodder thiccboi and the atmosphere was "edgier".

you play a lot of different characters, each has been influenced by "Jacket" or the Phone Operators (one story is a prequel).

2 is a lot of fun, but it's hard and you have to use guns. The levels can be too big, but there is nothing horribly insurmountable in the game. give it another shot!

The Swans are the best characters!

I really liked them both but dang two got weird.

They made the games too good. We won't get more because they did everything, and they did them as well as could be done. But god dammit do I want more.

And the final level of 2, jesus christ the track syncing is one of Those Experiences that you can't replicate elsewhere.

I can't bring myself to replay them because they're too short but every now and then I like to revisit those lore videos on youtube.

It's called Hotline Miami 2

1 was better but 2 wasnt bad. The problem with 2 was that it forces you to free-aim with guns in multiple levels. Whereas you could get through like 99% of 1 just playing melee and being methodical. 2 really filtered the players who got through 1 refusing to walk into a room without having someone already locked-on, so it catches a lot of undeserved crap. It's kinda like how people who got through Dark Souls holding L1 around every single corner had a hard time with Sekiro.

I was super fucking confused until I realized you must be talking console config. PC is always free aim.

<_< i 100% HM and beat HM2 both on PC and there's definitely a lock-on feature. I believe it was the middle mouse button by default.

Yeah naw there's been a lock on feature since HLM1, that was kind of the part point of the giraffe mask because you had a farther viewing distance

Oh, I had a mouse with a broken scrollwheel when I first played, and it just never came up.
